My Unforgettable Stay at Shangri-La Far Eastern, Tainan
For my first visit to Taiwan, Taiwan's charming city, I stayed at Shangri-La Hotel and everything was so satisfying. Once the location was so convenient that it was just in front of the train station in Taipei, and there was a successful university nearby, so the atmosphere was bright, lively and a good neighborhood. The rooms and facilities of the hotel were all so good, but especially the staff of the horizon club lounge was so friendly, and all the services in the lounge were excellent. Thanks to this, your time in Shangri-La's Far Estern Tainan will seem to be remembered much more satisfactorily.

I stayed at the Shangri-La last night and would like to comment on the level of hospitality I experienced at breakfast this morning.
The section I was seated in had three servers: one female server and two young male servers. The female server was working diligently throughout the morning, but unfortunately, the two young male servers appeared tired, moved very slowly, and seemed reluctant to clear empty plates or attend to guests in a timely manner.
Good hospitality is not only about responding when asked. Guests should feel that they are being cared for. Empty plates should be cleared proactively, and staff should remain attentive to the needs of the tables they are responsible for. On several occasions, I noticed the two servers looking toward my table and neighboring tables without clearing dishes that had been sitting there for some time. At one point, I called out to one of the servers, who simply walked away without responding.
I mentioned my concerns to the female server, who explained that the two young men were new. While I appreciate that everyone needs time to learn, being new should not be an excuse for poor work ethic or inattentiveness. Shangri-La is a world-class hotel brand, and I believe proper training and service standards should be consistently upheld. Just as importantly, staff members should take pride in their work and genuinely want to provide excellent service.
I offer these comments respectfully.

A five-star experience beyond expectations, thanks to every attentive staff!
This time with a partner in Long East Shangri-La, the overall experience was very satisfied. When checking in, the reception staff took care to arrange the high-floor room type according to my needs, so that we could stay more comfortably. During the stay, the housekeeper keeps the rooms very clean every day, and also carefully helps to arrange and place our personal items, so that people feel full of attention and professionalism.
The hotel paid more attention to my birthday and not only prepared fine cake and birthday card in the room, this surprise really touched us and also left unforgettable memories for this trip.
The last day breakfast due to the schedule of late meals, there is not enough time to enjoy coffee, after explaining the needs to the service staff, the other person immediately helped prepare two cups of ice American, so that we can still enjoy delicious coffee on the way back. This proactive listening and trying to help the needs of the traveller is impressive.
From check-in, stay to check-out, each staff demonstrates the professionalism and enthusiasm that a five-star hotel deserves. Thank you very much for bringing us such a wonderful stay experience in Taiwan Far East Shangri-La, the next time you come to Taiwan will definitely stay again and will also recommend to family and friends.

Long East Shangri-La is a great choice for your holiday
This hotel is very close to the train station, only a mile across, the internal service facilities and staff are very friendly, have been staying many times in the years, the quality of the service has not decreased, it is worth recommending, the 1st floor cake shop and moonhouse must be recommended to taste

Lives up to the Shangri-la standards
Possibly our favourite hotel throughout our 2-week trip across Taiwan. As usual, the Shangri-la brand lives up to its standards on our 2-night stay here.
Being the tallest building in the city, we enjoyed great views from our room, including the sunset. The room was also spacious, well-equipped, and clean. I also liked that there were proper doors to the bathroom - something we did not get at many of the other hotels we stayed at during our holiday.
We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel, and the experiences were positive. The pool was also relatively generously-sized compared with the other pools we encountered in Taiwan on the rest of our holiday.
Importantly, the level of service also met Shangri-la's exemplary standards.
If I were to find something to complain about, I did not like the carpark design and layout, but that was definitely not a deal-breaker for me.
