Suitable for a short stay
Beautiful exterior but ROOMS are oddly outdated for being built in 2005. There is a 500baht deposit at check-in. The rooms are big and spacious. Superior room can sleep 3 people as it has a double bed and a twin bed yet there are only 2 towels. Not 2 sets of towels, just 2 body towels. Despite the stone tiles, you can still hear a cough, the toilet flush, water running from the rooms next door.
The TV is ridiculously small for the room. There is no outlet by the bed or between the beds to charge your phone. There are no slippers provided or even rugs in the room so walking on the cold floor becomes uncomfortable.
There is no coffee/teapot but rather you must call the front desk to have them bring you a kettle of hot water. Not sure why the wheels on the BED don't have locks on them as the bed easily moves away from the headboard. The BUFFET area is spacious and its a nice try but like other reviewers, I agree the food is just okay. They also don't have a neighborhood map and the map of Bangkok that they do have excludes the neighborhood the hotel is in! There is no info in the room or signage anywhere to tell you that the pool and gym are the 10th floor.
With room upgrades and more thoughtful finishing touches this hotel could be a 4 star.
One good thing is its PROXIMITY to a main road and The Camping Ground, a food market diagonally across the street going towards Mido Hotel. It has lots of seating, trees and several fans dispersed throughout with one of the vendors selling cold pressed juices! A more reasonable option to the Expensive for Thailand food in the hotel's restaurant

Coming Home to a Palace
The bed is really comfy, and the air conditioning works fine. There’s also the added bonus of being able to have a relaxing soak in the tub, after a day of exploring Bangkok’s offerings.
The roof-top pool is another highlight of the hotel, along with the ample Breakfast Buffet.
Only a short walk to the Seven Eleven and many various small restaurants and Street-Food stalls.
The location is reasonably handy to the Sky Train…about a ten minute walk.
ALL GOOD.

Tired Hotel, Room needs a deep clean. Would not stay again.
Cons
• Balcony 18” wide, dirty with green mould and cigarette butts from previous guests.
• Bath had lots of black mould marks.
• Bar area was empty, only fridges with beer and water.
• Two restaurants? One open for breakfast only, the other is vacant?
• TVs Tiny. Not one English Channel
• Door between lounge and bedroom area was dangerous to use and needed attention.
Pros
• Shower was good, plenty of power and hot water
• Bed comfortable
Even though the location is ideal for visiting family I would not stay there again.
