Green & peaceful local cafe & hostel

Quiet & Warm cafe with the hostel inside. The place is quiet different from others nearby. Love the warm vibe with some small knitting, clothes & household decorations. The front comes with small gardens. There are some drinks menu but not desserts nor food for external guests. No parking available.

A perfect affordable refuge in a hip, quieter Ari neighborhood

I stayed about a week at this hostel and can give it 5 stars because it offers a great value in location, comfort, and friendliness.
The owner Nan is very kind and speaks good English. She can give you many recommendations about Bangkok. The hostel is located just off the main road in Ari which is filled with street vendors, hip cafes, restaurants. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Bangkok than this area because it has a bit slower of pace compared to other touristy parts of Bangkok, but there is still a lot do and is right next to the BTS. You can see both local thai and foreigners here, actually more locals despite the popularity with foreigners.
The hostel is filled with beautiful wood floors, is very clean, and has exceptionally comfortable beds for a hostel. The WiFi connection is strong, and there’s a nice table in the main lobby you can do work from if that’s your thing.
I’ll certainly stay here again next time I’m in Bangkok.

Wonderful stay in a lovely place in chilled Ari

The hostel is situated in the chilled Ari area of Bangkok with easy access to the BTS, only a 5 min walk away through the quiet neighbourhood. Upon arrival you can see that this is not your typical hostel; it is a converted Thai townhouse that has been so tastefully done. From the lush green garden outside, to the sunny kitchen, the place feels like you are in a huge house in the English countryside. The place is filled with light and has a rustic feel. The bathrooms are shared but they are designed so well that it would never be a problem, with individual spacious cubicles that are immaculately clean. My wife and I stayed in a private room that had a very comfortable bed and plenty of space, tastefully decorated with exposed brick. The owner, Nan, is a lovely warm person who is very chilled and upon meeting her it is clear to see the house is a reflection of herself. Overall, the stay has more of a homestay feel than a hostel, which we loved. We only stayed for one night but she let us keep our bags there all day as we had a late flight. It is quiet at night and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Bangkok away from the usual areas e.g. Sukhumvit but still with easy access to the city via BTS as it is central.

Hostel? No... It’s home.

I was staying at another place down the street and happened to walk past this place. I was immediately drawn in before I even knew it was a place to stay. As you can see in my photo, the entrance was so inviting! Upon removing my shoes and entering, I was greeted by the lovely owner, Lalida and immediately taken by her warm disposition and her sunny, light-filled, plant filled little oasis. I’m usually scared away by the word hostel because I immediately picture dust, shedded hair everywhere, germs, and a lack of privacy. Hostel Rest Ari has turned those notions completely around! This place may be the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. There’s 1 room that has an en-suite (toilet/shower) which is where I chose to stay. However, as I glimpsed into the women’s dorm and men’s dorm as well as the lavatories/shower rooms I was so impressed! Soo well designed that you’d never feel cramped. All this paired with the fabulously chill, boho neighborhood with the best food and coffee located a stones throw from BTS Ari and a quick GRAB ride away makes this the perfect place to stay. You couldn’t pick a better place to stay.

Nice place in nice area

The house was a typical thai house, nice decor and design research it was beautiful. Location was nice in the middle of Ari quarter which is full of cafes, restaurants, cool bars and next to a great SPA. Nan was very kind, friendly ad supportive, bot the typical hostel more of a private house feel.
The only thing that we would recommend is to give it more of a hotel feel, with common areas. It felt more like a private home with the nicest host!
