Lovely grand out of town hotel with a spectacular entrance
Stayed for a couple of nights. Its out of the main town area so you need to get a grab or shuttle bus into town. It was only about 84 baht each one way trip, and grab is super efficient so one can be with you in a few minutes.
Very grand and enormous hotel which wasn't very busy when we visited as its low season, so it had vague The Shining vibes with its vast empty corridors! Beds were large and super comfy. Immaculately clean. Large rooms and the usual gown and slippers available. I couldn't really get the aircon right. i was freezing overnight!
Staff were excellent and helpful - I had an issue with one of my tour bookings and a lovely lady at reception helped me sort it out even though it was nothing to do with the hotel.
Breakfast was nice and pretty vast. My son liked the pancake making machine. Breakfast is generally wasted on us as we aren't big morning eaters but I did try some of the pastries which were delicious, and the fresh fruit. They have a very nice kids breakfast section at small people level which I'm sure is appealing to those with younger children.
We didn't use the pool but I could see some families making use of it and having a lovely time. Overall I thought it was very nice hotel indeed.
In town, we totally recommend HeavenBurger if you fancy something not Thai. Best burgers ever - we ended up going both nights we were in Chiang Rai. And the cat cafe if you like disinterested moggies! We also did a jungle day trek using jttt travel

Tranquil, Great Location, Lovely Staff
Very grand picturesque hotel in a beautiful setting, very peaceful. The building and rooms felt spacious and open, unlike most hotels. The outdoor areas were great for leisurely walks and the pool was different and very enjoyable. The proximity to the city and major road access made all our excursions very accessible too.
The staff were all absolute gems, everyone friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Ploy and Aoy who both were really patient and helpful :) Even the guards and security always had big smiles :)

Hotel in typical Thai style not in line with Western or Italian standards. I would not return if I had to choose again.
Hotel in typical Thai style but a bit outdated. Small and very humid room, terrible food quality; we had dinner and breakfast. The quality is really low and more oriented towards Chinese clientele.

Celebrating our 46th Wedding Anniversary
It was our 46th Wedding Anniversary. We live in Chiangrai, so we decided to celebrate our anniversary at the Reverie, 3 days 2 nights. The hotel upgraded our room to a family room eventhough there were only two of us. They also kindly decorated our bed with the Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary sign. The hotel is perfect for family with kids; the pool and the water splash is excellent. When our grandson is older, we definitely will bring him here. The China Garden restaurant is outstanding. Food tasted very good. However the breakfast buffet is not up to the standard of the other five stars hotel that we had experienced. Overall we are very happy to stay here.
One final comment though, the hotel knew that we were celebrating our anniversary, but during the 3 days not one staff congratulated us ! Surprising, but not important.
