Duangtawan Hotel

We stayed at the Duangtawan Hotel for three nights.
# 1. The parking was easy and plenty of room for over 150 vehicles, If you park on floor L you can walk straight in to the hotel after going through the automatic doors.
# 2. The ladies at reception were very helpful, I paid my 2000thb deposit, received two key cards I will write more about the deposit later. and off We went to our room on the 10th floor. We had a view of the city through very large windows which cannot be opened for obvious reasons. The room is large, the beds comfortable, the bathroom has a toilet, a shower, and also a large bath tub, hot and cold fast running water. If you are a person who likes nice white plastic tables and chairs in you room you will be disappointed, the furniture is in keeping wit the hotel and it looks good. Down stairs in the foyer there are two sweeping staircases which can be described as elegant, perfect for having photos taken there are many comfortable seating areas there, too. Also in the foyer are shops and a restaurant. The other great thing about this hotel, is we could not smell the horrible sent of cannabis anywhere, almost every hotel in Thailand has that horrible smell in them these days.
Ok. back to the deposit.
I paid two thousand thb, on checking out they checked our room as standard, I gave the lady at reception my receipt I signed for the money and got it back. The reason why I am telling you this is because someone has written on this platform that the hotel will only pay your deposit in to your bank account and it takes about two weeks. IT IS LIES AND NONSENSE.
A great hotel, great location, great staff and i will be staying there again in the future.

Memories at Duangtawan Hotel.

The staff were lovely and the service was excellent. The room was clean and exactly as pictured. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Some dated hotel , but good value for money .

Good value for money and a great location. Great location, good breakfast, good breakfast. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Nice large pool, and spacious fitness.

Priceworty

Ok standard for the price. Very good location close to night market and old city.
Breakfast was nothing special. In general good service by we couldn’t get a toothbrush.

Needs an upgrade and cleaning

Duangtawan Hotel Chiang Mai needs an upgrade and to be cleaned.
The bed was large, firm and excellent. The bathroom was small with a walk-in shower cabin and a separate bath-tub. The television had many foreign channels in a variety of languages. Breakfast was decent with dishes to cover almost any taste. However, there are no roses without thorns. Upon entering my room, I found the curtain had a big hole as well as being dirty. Upon my complaint, new curtains were promptly installed. The furniture was old, both in my room and public areas. According to the evacuation plan on the door, most rooms have a connection door to another room. My room, therefore, had a connection door resulting in noise from the neighbouring room.
The carpet in the corridor had severe stains. I was particularly concerned with security, as the lobby was on the first floor and anybody could walk into the lifts on the ground floor and get access to any floor / corridor. All in all, this is not what you expect from a 4 star hotel.
