Functional Stay in the Heart of Chiang Mai
We stayed at the DusitD2 Chiang Mai Hotel from 25th February for 4 nights. The hotel is in a very good location, making it convenient for exploring Chiang Mai and accessing nearby markets, shops, and restaurants.
The stay was perfectly functional and comfortable enough, but the rooms felt dated and not particularly special. The breakfast was also fine, though fairly average compared to other hotels we stayed in during our trip.
Overall, DusitD2 provided a solid base in Chiang Mai thanks to its location and practicality. While it wasn’t outstanding, it was a decent option for a few nights.

Convenient and comfortable hotel
I stayed at the Enchanted Suite because it was only a few thousand yen different from delax RM! The room was spacious enough for two people, and although there was no breakfast, Enchanted Suite guests had drinks and snacks from 17:30 to 19:30 with cocktail time, and then strolled around the night market within walking distance. The bed was comfortable and there were about three pillows available.
The room is beautiful, but it also feels old, like the first day's restroom was clean enough with rusty bright brown water flowing for a while? I'm in trouble.
The air conditioning smells musty, the carpets are dirty, and there are other renovations that need to be done…Other than that, there is a small 7/11 nearby, and there is a large supermarket within a 10-minute walk, so it is convenient to buy souvenirs. It is a 10-15 minute walk from Tha Phae Gate and the local market. Neighboring coffee shops usually open around noon, so if you want to have an early morning coffee, you can ask at the hotel cafe or use Starbucks, which is about five minutes away. This time it is the first Chiang Mai, so I only walked around the hotel, but I want to go again.

Frustrated
Booked Dusit D 2 Chiang Mai from 26/12 to 31/12 through Hotel .com in July 2024 however I received cancellation in October 2024 . I chat with booking agent n was told due to natural disaster . Can both parties explain more details about cancellation because you implied I cancel the reservation instead of YOU !

Fantastic hotel and staff
We have had a fabulous stay at Dusit D2, we love everything about this hotel, we felt the bed was a bit hard so housekeeping added topper straight away, everone of the staff here are so attentive and good at their job, special mention for trainee Song who will be a great asset to this hotel, all of the staff are great and extremely helpful. Great breakfast, everything you need, we ate several meals here, sadly not many guests ate here, the food was great, perhaps hotel could do some meal deals to encourage diners. I have loved every minute here, even during the floods which meant we couldnt get out and about, not the hotels fault. Thank you Dusit D2.

A good stay.
The twin rooms should have walking shower. And breakfast is not upto the mark as per the prise paid.
The rooms are nice and lobby is good. They have good parking space and luggage storage service available. As Dusit Gold Member i have got a good deal and got complimentary early checkin.
