Friendly, welcoming, and beautiful
The rooms are nice and clean. The property is very well done with lots of artwork and a great pool. They really care about their guests and their expierence.
This resort is about 10-11km out of Chiang Mai, so you will probably need to rent a scooter or car if you plan on going into town. There is (I believe just one) scooter you can rent from the resort, which we did and was great. They also have bicycles to borrow for free.

(Holiday)-Home away from home!
As already mentioned from other reviewers Gabriel the manager and "Madame" Saithong the owner made my stay as pleasant as possible and really went out of their ways to make sure I have everything I need. Such pleasant hosts are hard to find and much appreciated. Even though its mentioned that Gabriel only speaks french and Madame Saithong only Thai (which I don´t either or) I was able to communicate with both of them. They both try to understand and if you put some effort in yourself it works :)
The home-stay is about 30 minutes out of town and its well advised that you either rent a scooter (which Gabriel & Saithong can arrange and be delivered to the home-stay) or if you just want to be away in a peaceful area there are a few bicycles you can borrow (please double-check with them).
I especially appreciated the fact that in the main house are only 3 rooms and the 3 so its really quiet. 2 of the Villas (I think 3 in total?) which are in a separate area "next door" can also accommodate a family.
The pool is clean and has just the right depth at least for adults. Its not recommended for small children but if your kid can swim its alright (there are soft steps to go in/out or sit in the pool).
For those of you who like animals: There are 2 geese running around in the gardens during the day , 2 sweet flea bags called dogs (visitors from outside), 2 cats belonging to the house and the odd other cat visitor :o) There are also 2 birds in a (very large walk-in) cage where one of them actually loves to "chat" with you.
There where a few hick ups with the air condition(s) but I guess this was due to the extreme heat and a mechanic was called in immediately to fix it. When the Air-condition broke down I was relocated into a Villa the first night. Back in my lovely initial room the frogs decided to sing me a few songs..the whole night. This is what you get on a quiet and peaceful place outside of town and is certainly not anyone's fault. However, after I mentioned this I was offered to move to another room on the other side (swimming pool side) without any surcharge.
Please bear in mind that this is not a 5 Star luxury resort where everything is perfect and you are "serviced" around the clock. If it would you probably would have to pay a lot more! This is a peacuful, lovely, clean, charming, very hospitable and quiet place on the country side and the value for money is very very good and in my eyes it can easily compete with around 80% of similar accommodations but for a far better rate!
Overall if I will visit Chiang Mai again you can bet that this will be my (Holiday)Home away from home.
