Fantastic hotel

Amazing hotel, our favourite hotel on our 2-month trip. You could tell that they had really thought about the small details, and about the things that visitors actually wanted. Nice style to the rooms very sound insulated, a 7-11 right across the road, the staff were lovely, and as an icing on the cake they have a sea eagle’s nest on the roof you can see with four sea eagles nesting. When we come back to Koh Tao, we’ll only be staying here. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more.

Good 3-star hotel

The hotel is tucked away in a wonderfully tropical complex, which is like a well-kept jungle. Staff at reception were great. They organized us excursions and taxis and were always there for us. Our room was downstairs and pretty dark. The beds we found not very comfortable (too soft and also a bit slack). Room and bathroom are simple but clean. The breakfast in the associated cafe was very good, but the prices rather high. We didn't dare rent a scooter. As a pedestrian, you feel quite at the mercy of the first step out of the hotel. The traffic is incredible for the size of the island.

Rumble in the jungle

Accommodated to all our needs brilliantly, asked for decorations in the room as we were celebrating birthdays, they provided roses and balloons! The room was spotless every day and the shower was brilliant. A little fridge and water in bottles daily was very useful with the heat and the balcony was lovely to sit and chill in the afternoon! Would visit again!

An excellent compromise in the hinterland.

An excellent compromise in the hinterland.
This is the second time we return to Ko Tao.
As the first time we had tried to return to the same structure that was overlooking the sea.
Since everything was full, we looked for an alternative structure inland.
The choice fell on the Big Tree Boutique Hotel, and in the end it was a winner.
Although the property is located on one of the busiest streets on the island, it is quite quiet and peaceful.
Very nice and surrounded by greenery.
Our room, equipped with a delightful living balcony, was located on the first floor (perhaps it is better to ask for the floor of the room in the case of people with walking difficulties) and reached via a spiral staircase.
Room and bathroom were large, spotless and even if minimally well furnished.
Lovely balcony with sofa and coffee table. Also useful for hanging towels and costumes.
Very kind and extremely helpful staff with whom we rented a scooter to get around the island.
Opposite is a gas station and a very useful 7-Eleven.
With the scooter in 10 minutes you reach Sairee Beach where you can walk and eat something.
The Cafè of the structure, really great, allowed you to eat at discounted prices.

Disappointing

Decorative level and room, very well and well equipped. Organic products and water management explained. Bon.
We stayed in the duplex 2 bedrooms, very nice with terrace. Smiling service.
On the other hand big problem of humidity in the room under the roofs... our things "smelled" and we lie in sweaty sheets... bof. And especially the noise... the noise of the road and other guests. For the price paid, it’s a shame. On paper the promise of the small charming family hotel was convincing, but we were a little disappointed. Prefer resorts by the sea.
