Boutique hotel in Goreme

The hotel is located in the upper part of Goreme. Next to the hotel there is a small decampment to park. The deluxe suites are spacious, welcoming and beautiful. Friendly staff. They can help you organize the balloon trip or other activities in the area. Like many hotels in the area, it has a small rooftop where you can have breakfast (in good weather), watch balloons fly or relax. Although this has nothing to do with the hotel, the surrounding bars have loud music at night. I found it a quality hotel at a reasonable price.

Totally overrated. Disappointing

Given that the 'amenity of the place and the friendliness of the host should not affect the judgment on the services and the pleasantness of' hotel, my experience was disappointing:
1) a shower enclosure door was missing (serious indication of neglect) resulting in timely flooding of the bathroom
2) once out of four nights the room was absolutely not redone (we had to make do by asking at reception for clean towels)
3) in four nights the sheets have never been changed
4) room temperature: warm (out of snow and lows of minus 5 degrees)
5) Insufficient lighting, dark room, very dim bulbs
6) repetitive breakfast and really unappetizing, but this was predictable.
As I always say: it is useless to ask for a positive opinion when the service is not!

Typical hotel in Cappadocia

Characteristic hotel just a few minutes walk from the main street of Goreme , offers beautiful and spacious rooms carved into the rock with hammams attached the bathroom . Good savory breakfast with local and sweet food although with a smaller but quality offer. Very welcoming staff

The perfect place where stay in Goreme

Wonderful hotel with clean and welcoming rooms, and a suggestive panorama of the town from the terrace, where I recommend to drink a hot chay during the evening. It will be magic. We also appreciated the kindness of all staff, in particular Tarek, that organized all our outdoor experiences in Goreme, proposing very good prices. Perfect inn for your journey in Cappadokya. I would definitely advise Risus Cave to all my friends if they'll visit this fabulous region of Turkey.

A mouse in the room.

There was a mouse in the room. In turn, they gave us a mini fridge to combat the situation. The man working the later shift was very helpful and spent a large amount of time trying to catch the mouse without success and did offer to relocate to another hotel for the night, although it was nearly 11pm and we decided it was too late to move at that time. Unfortunately the offer was rescinded by other staff members the next day when the mouse was still present, which they then said they had sprayed the room with pesticides although the mouse was still present. Other than that catastrophe, the room was quite nice although the air conditioning didn’t cover the whole room. I appreciate the one man who spent the better part of an hour hunting the mouse, but the other receptionists were less than helpful.
