This is a very basic hotel in a very convenient location, alsacak and konak are a short walk. It is not a luxury property, but perfect for a clean safe place to rest after exploring. The man at the front desk is charming and helpful. A nice breakfast every morning and a clean comfortable room at night.

DON'T BELIEVE THE RATINGS

We used the link on TA to book through Hotels.com. We chose a Superior room that, according to Hotels.com, could accommodate three travelers and had a sitting area with upholstered chairs.
We got a tiny room with one bed for two people, no sitting area, no chairs, and of questionable maintenance and cleanliness. The bathroom faucet had not been cleaned (or even wiped off) mold/mildew in the shower, old shabby bathmat, paint chipped everywhere, and a very tired, old, unmaintained appearance throughout the room.
The scary part was the lock to the door. The bathroom door had a very solid lock and knob that would be extremely difficult to pick. The door to the room was the kind that goes on family bedrooms, like many families in the US (including ours) have within their own homes, easily picked with a bobby pin or other similar small device. We felt very uncomfortable with that feeble lock, so we moved our suitcase in front of the door to hear if anyone entered. See photos we submitted here. It was NOTHING like the room pictured or described in the listing. There was NOTHING "superior" about that room.
The woman who prepared breakfast was so late in the morning that we could have only a cup of coffee.
The sole reason this hotel has 2 circles instead of 1 is because of the kind man in reception. Izmir has plenty of affordable hotel options. This should never be the one anyone selects.

This is a simple hotel, but is very well-located (short walk to the bazaar, the harbor, and more). Rooms are quite small, but clean. The breakfast is good, and includes a variety of items.
Street noise is low, but in the two nights we were there it seemed a lot of guests were coming and going (and slamming doors) well past midnight. We also found an unusually high amount of cigarette smoke smell wafting through the hotel (even for Turkiye, where cigarette smoke is everywhere). Not sure if it was coming from guests flouting the rules, or from staff, or from outside - but it was noticeable.

Excellent choice

Small room but well organized, good location for visiting Izmir.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good, but the room was tatty and in need of some improvements. The curtains did not cover the window, the toilet seat was broken, the furniture was old and scruffy. It could have been cleaner.
