Van – The Soul of the Lake and a Meeting of Civilizations

Van is an avant-garde city that enchants and creates a unique atmosphere. It is a meeting place of civilizations, where one can find the calmness of a great city. People here may easily strike up a conversation, invite you for tea in a cozy café, and make you feel not like a visitor, but like one of their own.
Lake Van and the people who have inhabited this region for centuries carry the soul of the city. Traveling here, with a transfer through the international airport in Istanbul, is convenient, and the airport terminal is located within the city itself. The streets are always full of life, while the evenings by the vast lake are cool and peaceful.
This is one of the places connected to the early roots of Christianity, and one must come here to truly feel and embrace it.

The room was relatively clean, but the overall experience did not meet Hilton standards. The staff at the front desk seemed indifferent and uninterested in answering questions, often gathering together and ignoring guests. The breakfast was very poor compared to other Hilton hotels I've stayed at, with limited options and low quality. I expected much more from this brand.

This was the first time I had the opportunity to stay overnight with my friend.
The hotel has spacious rooms, is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and offers excellent hospitality with its friendly staff. Thank you to everyone.

A wonderful accommodation experience

As a Hilton employee, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Mr. Halil, the front desk manager, and the entire front desk and housekeeping team for my stay at this hotel. Their attention, care, respect, and support for everything were excellent.

An unforgettable stay and a fantastic team!

We were extremely satisfied with our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton during our visit to Van. Not only the hotel's location and quality of service, but also the friendliness and hospitality of its staff made this experience unforgettable for us.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the staff who contributed their efforts, from the reception and welcoming team to the breakfast service and housekeeping, especially Ahmet, Hilal, Ayhan, Sinan, Şahin, Necdet, Levent, Engin, Gülden, İsmail, Ümit, Veysel, Bercem and Berdan.
They were always helpful and had a smile on their face, making us feel truly valued and at home. I particularly appreciated the attentiveness of the breakfast team, the solution-oriented approach of the reception, and the professionalism of all the staff.
What makes a hotel special is not just its building, but the people who work there. Thanks to you, our trip to Van was much more enjoyable. If we ever come back to Van, we would choose this place again without hesitation.
