Charming family guest house.

Charming family guest house. Very kind.
Lovely Uzbek decoration in the house.
Very well located for visiting the old town. Everything is within walking distance without any issues. (view of the ramparts from the inside)
Hearty breakfast.
Water available (which is significant in a country where the water is not potable).
The bathroom is a bit outdated but spacious.
The balcony of the rooms that have one is magnificent. (it could use a little cleaning and comfortable seating to enjoy it for a long time)
The cherry on top: a great rooftop to admire the city at sunset. You can order dinner there. Great location facing the crowded nearby restaurants!
Note: do not take the credit card.

Thanks to Ziyovaddin from 5 "babouchki" on autonomous trip

We did not stay in Meros but we asked Ziyovaddin to organize a tour of the citadels around Khiva. Moreover he made train reservations for us, whereas at the station we had the information that the trains were sold out. Finally, he organized our transport between Bukhara and Samarkand with an excellent driver, very friendly. All this was done with great professionalism and kindness. Everything was perfect: high quality services.

Rock hard bed

Nicely located just inside the North Gate, this had the personal touch of a family hotel.
The hosts were friendly and helpful with the rooms decent size, if somewhat sparsely equipped (no fridge or tv).
Breakfast was hearty and varied.
Only real downside was the rock hard bed!

Highly recommend

Ziyovaddin and Madina provided a warm and welcoming service. It was a lovely start to our stay in Uzbekistan.
Proof of registration was provided.
Breakfast was delicious and varied each morning. We were given breakfast in a box when we had to leave at 6am on the morning of our trip to the Aral Sea.
We organised this trip through Ziyovaddin in the B&B and proof of registration for this was provided also. After much research, booking the tour through him proved to be the best price and included all the sights that we had seen listed with all other tour companies. The drivers, Bahrom and Asad were lovely - warm and friendly. They had little English, we communicated through an app when necessary. The boys at the yurt camp where we stayed by the Aral Sea were so polite and friendly also.
We were given late check out at the B&B on the day we were leaving as there wasn't anyone booked into our room - a really nice gesture.
The location of Meros is excellent - inside the city walls. It is minutes walk from the popular Terasse Café and all the beautiful sights of Ichon-Qala.

Excellent place, beautifully done up, very helpful owner.

Beautiful place with lovely durries( handmade carpets) and painted ceilings which the owners father was an expert at. Very helpful owner. Exceptional stay. You get the feel of the place as the family is one of 3000 people living within Ichan kala.
