Somewhere between great

A really enjoyable stay in a great location—super convenient for getting around. The hotel is welcoming, the staff are friendly, and everything runs really smoothly.

Central location near the station

The hotel is located in a central position near the shops and railway station.
To enter the hotel there is steps to the lift area but no ramp.
Our first nights sleep was disturbed quite a bit as there is a nightclub opposite which had loud music all night. Our second night was much more peaceful as the nightclub was closed.
The rooms are large and have windows that can be opened for ventilation. There is a kettle in the room.
The room met our needs and was comfortable.
On the day we checked out we asked if there was anywhere to leave our luggage. There is not a luggage room which I found unusual for a city hotel with an airport and ferry port in the area. The staff did explain we could leave luggage in the area near reception however it is not secure and not watched therefore at owners risk.

Enough for a night's stay

Situated near the town centre. I stayed here last year for the night when I went to visit an Expedition Ship. The room was very basic but enough for a night. I arrived late at night and the entrance area looked very rough with people hanging around, drinking & smoking.

Painful stay

Second time we have stayed here but found the hotel had went downhill. We paid to get a plus room, we thought we got WiFi which we did but only for 2 items, wasn't aware that you don't get a bath mat so had to use the one hand towel that you now get, there is no glasses in the bathroom, no hairdryer but I did go down to reception with wet hair to borrow one. My biggest problem was that I had a shoulder injury and couldn't sleep as when my husband moved I woke in pain so I asked if we could move to a twin room and was told no but if I called reservations they might let us move rooms!!!!! Never have I had this when there is a problem and we have stayed in many travellodges but won't again even though we will be back in Aberdeen again soon.
Good central location with shops and bars nearby.

Noisy, but Central Position

All good at the hotel, but very noisy at night. Also, do remember that you have to pay for daily wi-fi for each person, which seems a money grabbing addition to the cost of the hotel stay. But the hotel is very central and ten minutes (walking slowly!) from the central rail and bus stations with shopping malls, and Union Street, the main Aberdeen street 'on the doorstep' near enough. Also bus stops just outside. However there are about 5 steps to reach the main entrance from the street, I didn't see any wheelchair access, though there may be, which I didn't see. However, once up the steps there is lift access to all floors.
