Perhaps we went at the wrong time of the year.
We went to Aberystwyth for my brothers funeral. We had stayed there before so we knew what to expect. So we thought. Apartment itself was perfect for what we wanted but what we didn’t want was drunk foul mouth youngsters sometimes naked utilising the hot tub from 0100 till 0430 having a loud party and being obnoxious when we asked them to keep the noise down. Apparently it was “mad Friday” and we should have expected rowdiness. Even with a very young baby they didn’t care.

Do not recommend this accomodation
We travelled to Aberystwyth for the University's open event.
We were moved here when we originally booked to stay in Oak Court. You have to pick up your keys from the Four Seasons hotel which is a small walk away from the accommodation. The change in accommodation was extremely frustrating after a ~7 hour long journey. We were promised that this was an "upgrade", with no reason given for the move. We stayed in apartment one.
Oak Court offered free parking throughout the stay, and this accommodation provided free parking directly outside the house, but only until 9 AM where we would have to move the car and then not return for a certain period of time. There was no password for the free Wifi located anywhere around the house, we had to email to ask for the password!
The kitchen had one towel with no kitchen roll to wipe up spills, meaning that the same towel was used to wipe up muck and to dry hands or cutlery. There wasn't much cutlery provided and some plastic cutlery had been melted/damaged?? No trays were provided to place food - such as pizza - in the oven. The chairs in the house had stains that appeared to be paint, and the windows were dirty.
On booking.com it stated that toiletries and towels would be provided. We had towels to dry ourselves off after a shower, but absolutely no hand towels, so we could not dry our hands after washing them. The shower had dispensers that were empty, with no shower gel, shampoo or conditioner!! The only toiletries provided were multiple TINY bottles of shower gel and a few small bars of soap. The bathroom bin had no bin bag inside. The downstairs bathroom door would not close. The house frequently became way too warm. The house was mostly quiet on the first night, and when the second night came around it became very difficult to sleep because you could hear EVERY SINGLE SOUND outside the room on the bottom and top floors. Until 5AM people outside would scream and have conversations, shout and argue, and you could hear people move around the apartment. So no, this place does not have soundproofed walls. This caused disruption to our sleep for every person staying in the apartment even though we had a long journey in the morning. The other people staying in the house kept coming in and out of the accommodation throughout the early hours of the morning (from around 1/2 AM until 5AM), and with the walls not being soundproofed we could hear every movement.
The code-locked door would also be left open on the mornings by an unknown person (visitor or worker, we never saw who did it) using the fire extinguisher which creates safety concerns, especially since this specific accommodation has had a prior incident in which a man entered the house after a night out and set the place on fire.
The other apartments were only accessible by stairs, which makes it seem as though these apartments will be inaccessible to those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
Overall, this accommodation is very unreliable. Upon reading past reviews, it seems as though the owners and management of the house have had years to make improvements on various areas previously discussed (eg, noise levels, and last-minute changes), but have decided to ignore or not read any feedback.
On the other hand, the hot tub was great - it was clean and nice and warm. The view of the sea was very nice on the mornings, and we were also provided with hairdryers and irons + ironing boards (although none of us used them). The location is right on the sea front, which is pleasant and not a long walk from the shops.
Aberystwyth is a lovely place, and I am certain we would all love to visit again, although not in this accommodation.

Spoilt graduation - they unexpectedly cancelled our accommodation the day before
Booked an Appartment for our son’s graduation at Aberystwyth university - Ty Belgrave cancelled our accommodation the afternoon before our stay. Blamed everyone bar themselves. Dreadful. We had to stay several miles away after really struggling to find any alternative. Spoilt the event as we had a pre graduation meal booked in town.

V disappointing treatment from late cancellation
Feel bitterly let down by this hotel. Having booked several weeks' ago a 2 bed apartment for University graduation, I got an email 5 days before the event saying they had double booked us and my reservation was cancelled. Got a refund from Booking.com but now left struggling to find suitable alternative accomodation at a reasonable price with such short notice. Phoned the htel and was told this was not the first tme this had happened. Was promised a phone call from Mr Davis the owner but have still to hear a thing.

Horrible experience
Don’t book with these people. We have to miss our daughter graduating because they had double booking. They cancelled on us three days before . Because it is a busy time we couldn’t find any booking somewhere else. What a horrible experience
