Fantastic food and service - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a beautiful pub!!!
Staff are fantastic, friendly and work really hard. The pub is so clean and tidy, the pub manager Dave is brilliant, definitely knows how to manage a pub, it shows in his staff and service - what a great team they are!! Foods fabulous and all home cooked- would highly recommend a visit or two!! Definitely will be back

Lovely staff ,poor room

Pleasant cheerful young staff, generous helpings of food and reasonably priced. Room was clean ,but a bit tired, the large pelmet from the curtains was left leaning against the bedroom wall ,
The bathroom had black mould on the white tiles, and around the sealant on the bath ,and the bottom of the shower screen , not pleasant to look at while having a bath.the white toilet seat could do with replacing as yellowed with age .instructions were to use the fire escape , to leave or enter the hotel between the hours of 10 pm and 11AM, this was a wrought iron staircase and we did not feel comfortable using this ,both being in our late seventies.
Will not be making a return trip.

Over priced

Beautiful pub but £9.80 for a pint and half of lemonade and a packet of crisps is ridiculous.

BEWARE ! You never know what price you will pay .. big con

We attended The Broadoak on Mother’s Day only to be shocked when we received our bill , we looked on the Facebook page and on their website and we saw that they were not overcharging for Mothers Day it was the same price as we had always paid on other occasions we had Sunday lunch there £12.95 , when we arrived we were given the full menu but no Sunday lunch was on it so asked the waitress if the Sunday Lunch was on and they said yes and told us the two meats that were on offer so we ordered our Sunday lunch after we finished the waitress asked if we wanted to see the sweet menu to which we did it had the usual individual price menu for the sweets , we finished our sweets and then asked for the bill , we noticed we had paid more and questioned it as we assumed it was still the £12.95 we had paid only a few weeks earlier , we asked if it was a different price because it was Mother’s Day and the waitress looked confused and said no , so I said but we have paid more it’s usually £12.95 for just the lunch without the sweets , to which she replied “ oh yes it’s gone up “ .. we paid but it left a bad feeling about how sneaky they treat their customers over the pricing that it had gone up yet no where had it said on any of their social media or in the restaurant or the waitress telling us that the price had gone up .. this actually is illegal ..they are by law supposed to advertise the price so people can make informed choice if they want to pay the new price but the failed to do so ( sneaky ) so sorry Broadoak if you choose to treat your customers in this disrespectful way we are choosing to not give you our custom .. fool us once Shame on you , terrible way to treat your customers.. we won’t be back

Restaurant review

We went for Sunday dinner on recommendation from our neighbour and we were not disappointed. One of us had the ham Sunday dinner. I have never seen a bigger Yorkshire pudding! The veg was amazing and there were lots of thick slices of ham.
Two of us had the rag pudding with chips and mushy peas. It was absolutely delicious! The chips were thick and chunky, very fluffy on the inside. Lots of luscious gravy.
Our order was taken by a very attentive young pretty waitress. She was really pleasant to talk to.
All in all we had a really lovely experience at The Broadoak
