Exceptional few days at the Salthouse
A great few days at a lovely hotel. The staff were great and our room, which was accessible, was outstanding. It met all our needs. Also breakfasts were beautiful and our evening meal in the dining room was superb.

Relaxing treat
We booked the Salthouse as a last minute night away and are very glad we did. From the friendly welcome at check in until we checked out felt relaxed and pampered.
The only small issue we had was that we had booked a twin room but were put in a double. I’m sure had we rung down to reception they could have reconfigured the room for us, but as the bed was king size we decided it wasn’t worth it for one night.
The spa area is a beautiful space made all the better for being kid free. I have no issue with children enjoying themselves but there it is a nice change to be able to enjoy a swimming pool etc during the school holidays as an adult only area.
We are now looking to see when we can return.

Exceptional stay
My partner and I recently stayed at the Salthouse Hotel, and from check-in to check-out, we had an absolutely amazing experience. Everything was seamless, and it was clear that the team genuinely cares about making every guest feel welcome and looked after.
The new spa is simply breathtaking. The facilities are beautiful, spotless, and incredibly relaxing, it really exceeded our expectations and was the highlight of our stay.
A special mention has to go to Shannon. She was so friendly, welcoming, and professional from the moment we arrived at the spa. She took the time to explain all of the facilities to us, making sure we knew exactly what was available and helping us get the most out of our visit. Throughout our stay, she was constantly on the floor checking in with guests to ensure everyone was happy and had everything they needed. Shannon is an absolute credit to the owners, and her exceptional customer service made a fantastic experience even better.
Our room was lovely, and the hotel itself is beautifully maintained. The only minor downside was that the room was a little too warm for our liking but very quickly, the reception team provided us with a Dyson fan. At breakfast, we would have preferred a buffet-style service, but the quality of the food was still very good and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. The stunning spa, exceptional staff, and welcoming atmosphere made for a truly memorable experience. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend the Salthouse Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway

Highly rated hotel experience
What a fantastic experience, we loved our stay which was for 1 night and I only regret not booking a second night. We booked a family room which was spacious with a huge bathroom. Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming. The whole place has a welcoming upmarket vibe, the renovations really elevate the place. Customers were nicely dressed and this added to the atmosphere. We loved the outdoor terrace, of course the sunny weather helped! And the new spa, what can I say it was absolutely outstanding! We ate dinner in the Lookout and thoroughly enjoyed it, breakfast was super, no buffet your order is take which was lovely. If I had any feedback for improvement it would be to have a fridge in the room for water. Although we brought our son and had a lovely time it really is more of a special retreat for adults so we cannot wait to return just the two of us.

Disappointed to learn on arrival that hotel guests had to pay an additional £45 EACH to use the spa/pool. Guests can also only use the pool and spa after 3pm! (Pre 3pm is for paying day-guests). Also don’t take your kids here, pool is over 16s only. Hotel seems to be concentrating on day-spa visitors and not looking after overnight guests. Left feeling disappointed.
