The hotel’s location is beautiful. The property was clean and well maintained. We had delicious meal for dinner and drinks from the bar. Overall a great place to stop on your way to or from the Isle of Skye. We would not hesitate to stay there again!

Amazing

Mr Singh was a fantastic manger and the staff are fantastic the hospitality was amazing everything was fantastic I would recommend this hotel any time many thanks for the hospitality

Exceptional Service - Jeetendra

We wish to highlight one staff member in particular, Jeetendra, who was extremely courteous and friendly with our requests, clearly striving to go above and beyond with our reservation, and made the highest impression on behalf of the Balmacara. We will never forget his hospitality, and are incredibly grateful to him!
In addition, the staff in general were very accommodating and helpful. The facilities were spotless, dinner was lovely, delivered quickly, and the waiters provided helpful recommendations. This was in addition to the beautiful view from the restaurant itself. The Balmacara is an absolute must visit, with the staff, Jeetendra especially, deserving the highest of praises in making it the exceptional stay it was.

Our family loved our stay here, that hotel was a perfect jumping off point for the Isle of Sky. Food was amazing and the staff was top notch!

Excellent lunch experience

I visited this hotel as part of a group lunch for Smithsonian Journeys guests (I work as a lecturer on their tours in Scotland). The experience was excellent and appreciated by all my guests. Service was fast and friendly, the food plentiful (including a lot of local produce) and delicious: fish and vegetable soup (Cullen Skink), charcuterie, and vegetarian Scotch egg. The dining area is spotless, with picture windows overlooking the sea near the famous Eilean Donan castle and on the main road to and from the Isle of Skye. This looks like just another roadside hotel (though better presented on the outside and in than many in the area) but it really is worth trying. Mind the step when entering!
