Great hotel after being let down by Airbnb

Our Airbnb host let us down and cancelled our stay once we were close.
We booked the Ibis Bournemouth for a night to figure out our next step.
The room was good, great air conditioning and fairly quiet.
The breakfast in the morning was great- we ate loads!
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Chef Josie was great and made us feel welcomed.
We all really enjoyed our stay.
We'll be back again if we need somewhere to stay in Bournemouth again.

Very disappointed with breakfast

Decent location just a short walk from the station and pier. Arrived communal area very clean and modern. Got to room comfortable but a little scruffy carpet needed cleaning and rip in the net curtain looks like it had been repaired by a child although a child would most certainly made a better job. The bathroom had only been cleaned halfheartedly still dust residue on the side. The most disappointing thing was the breakfast no sausage on the Sunday morning and no bacon Monday what ! Full English with out the essential ingredients no mushrooms either the selection was poor. They seemed to be short staffed they were very slow to clear the tables and replenish the food. The breakfast went so disappointing I wouldn’t stay here again.

Peeling paintwork and misted up windows despite the heat.
Staff did not seem bothered and more interested in talking amongst themselves when I checked in.
Not welcoming at all.

Very disappointing stay – only the location was good

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The customer service was extremely poor, with several members of staff coming across as rude, unhelpful and as though they simply couldn’t be bothered.
We were also charged £15 for parking, which was not made clear when making the booking. This came as an unwelcome surprise and should have been clearly stated upfront.
The breakfast was poor and certainly not what we expected, The carpets were noticeably stained in our room which really didn’t give a good first impression.
The only positive was the location, which was convenient. Unfortunately, that alone wasn’t enough to make up for the poor service, disappointing breakfast and overall lack of care.
Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it based on our experience.

Booked here for 1 night whilst visiting friends.
Very easy to find from train station and short walk down to the beach
Room was perfect for one night and 1 guest
