We arrived early and were graciously welcomed to check in before our scheduled timed. Easy & personal check in, Uber-accessible to city center (5-7 minutes) quiet, and safe location. Very nice and accommodating local business.

Dreadful, filthy place so please avoid

Filthy room and bathroom.
Bedding was clean and good quality and bed very comfortable but otherwise the bathroom had mould on the ceiling, shelf above sink slanted downwards so couldn’t be used and area next to sink was dirty.
A handle on the window was broken off, the bottom front of the bedside table fell off and the area next to the bed had thick dust and grime.
Stay away from this hotel
The restaurant downstairs is good!
I would have walked out but the bed was comfortable and I was very tired

STALKER / THIEF

Horrible!!!!!! My 18-year-old daughter and a friend stayed there. At midnight, the restaurant manager started pounding on the door telling them they had to pay, when they had already paid for the reservation. Then he started knocking on the window. The two of them, very scared, had to call the police. He was telling them to open the door, that otherwise he would open it because it only went by code, it didn't have a lock on the inside, and that he knew the code. The police came and told them that the patrol would be nearby, but nobody can take away the fear they went through. The door already had signs of having been broken into previously. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL AND MUCH LESS YOUNG PEOPLE.

A no-frills option and cheaper than most accommodation in Durham. Property is tired with some damage to fixtures and fittings including the door jamb, and could do with a renovation and/or deep clean. Car parking is free and convenient, and staff were helpful when there. Conveniently located within walking distance of a retail park for breakfast options.
