Great hotel

Lovely hotel , very clean and tidy staff pleasant and good amenities, all sites and attractions in Gloucester very walkable distance, would we stay there again, most definitely.

The room was a good size and clean and a mini fridge. The staff were really excellent and the breakfast was very good. We would recommend the hotel with a short walk into town and ample parking in the rear of the hotel

Very impressed.

Just back from 2 nights at Edwards Hotel and very pleased. We had a King room at the front, it was very quiet and with a comfortable bed, we had 2 good nights sleep. All rooms are ensuite with a fridge and microwave, plus the use of a kitchen. Above all, it is very clean. The owners provide everything required for an excellent stay. They are also very knowledgeable and informative of the area providing a town map with several pubs and restaurants listed. Breakfast is available and is highly rated. There is also a nice local pub serving food within 100m. Safe, hidden, free car park is a boon. The Cathedral and town is a 10 minute walk or a No 10 bus. We enjoyed our stay and will use again as our base when visiting the area.

Great value for money!

We stayed at The Edward as we were in town for an Army Reunion, and the RAF v Army Rugby at Kingsholm. It was everything we needed, and at the right price.
Overall the Hotel was perhaps a little dated in places, with a hint of old school seaside guesthouse, but for us that added to the warm atmosphere. The Staff were great - friendly and helpful.
The location was bang on. For us it was easy walking distance for everything in the City Centre, but far enough out to be quiet at night.
The room was comfy and spacious. Clean and tidy, and with all the bits and pieces you'd expect. The USB charging ports in the double sockets in the room were a very welcome addition.
Breakfast was excellent. My litmus test is always dipping sausage in the egg yolk, and this passed with flying colours. Freshly cooked to order, no buffet, and proper sausages - none of your deep fried tubes of grey paste. Also, the tomato was properly cooked all the way through, and the mushrooms were fresh, not tinned. You don't see this attention to detail at this price point very often. Well done, and thank you! It just needed a wee slice of black pudding to finish it off, otherwise perfect!
All in all it was a good stay, worth every penny. We'll be back.

Please contact the hotel prior to arrival for more information. You can use the hotel's car park on the morning of your arrival and park for up to one day after check-out. Please note guide dogs are allowed in the hotel.
