Will definitely be back!!! Amazing hotel

Absolutely incredible hotel, the really old building has loads of charm and character.
It also has an awesome team of staff, mainly mentions are Robin & Pat who are both helpful, polite and very friendly.
The price is fair, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast is absolutely amazing!!
I will definitely be returning at some point and also highly recommend the place to others.
It was quiet and peaceful at nighttime and the towels, sheets and room were all immaculately clean and fresh

Deeply Disappointing Stay – Now Questioning My Life Choices

I stayed at The Swan Hotel in Harleston and genuinely regret it. I booked it to save my client £20 compared to my usual hotel; and that was the beginning of the mistake.
The kettle in the room was in such a state that I had to boil it five times before it was remotely usable. After the first boil, I poured the water straight down the sink and was met with a mucus‑like residue that appeared to be connected to an insect I later found running around inside one of the cups. Not exactly the welcome drink I had in mind.
To their credit, the staff were apologetic and provided a clean cup, but management were nowhere to be found. For £89 a night, the standard was shockingly poor.
At this point, I only hope I survive the night and breakfast.
I tried to save money. Instead, I ended up wishing I’d spent the extra £20 and avoided this entire experience.

Family function weekend stay

Central, a real old English country Pub Hotel, lovely friendly staff. Room very cosy and warm clean. Had a function there and buffet which was very good, Robin the owner and staff made the occasion special, I would recommend this hotel which oozes character and it was also good value for money breakfast using local produce

Very good

I stayed here for one night and really liked it. The staff were friendly, food great and bedroom clean. For the price very good.
I put 4 instead of 5 because the wifi was a little unreliable - but if you are in the area and I would stay here.

Unique

The Swan is a unique historical coaching inn.The owner Robin is unique and very helpful.The hotel needs lots of work and the decor is very dated but that kind of adds to its appeal.The hotel is in the middle of Harleston with shops along the Thoroughfare.(main street).The daily breakfasts are delicious and sets you up for a day of visiting beautiful countryside and history.
