All good apart from not been able to check in at 3pm as room wasn’t reedy, however two free drinks at the bar wasn’t so bad, we had a great stay and the room was lovely too.
Will be returning in October.

A lovely central hotel, not a four star but easily could be!

My husband had tried to book a car park spot just outside the hotel. He had earlier rung a central telephone number and a lady had said it was first come, first served. It took us longer to get to the hotel as the traffic was bad and was told in reception that he could have booked a car parking spot but now they had all been allocated. It wasn’t free either, it was £15 per day, which is rip off! He eventually had to park in the multi storey car park in the town centre. The room we booked was a delux. Ok, but the bed sheet was slightly torn (only noticed this on the last day), The window sills were dirty and in a desperate need of a clean and a paint. Everywhere else in the bedroom was clean. Large bed and separate toilet and large bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower. Hairdryer, an iron, a safe and a fridge and two fans in the wardrobe. Coffee pods and a coffee machine and a separate kettle. Room was very hot, but couldn’t open the bedroom window in the night as there was a loud noise outside (sounded like fans coming from the kitchen) No air conditioning in the bedroom. Can’t comment about the food as never ate there. The hotel itself needed a spruce, the hallway carpets were very dirty and there were scuffs on the doors. The reception and bar area were very nice. The staff were very friendly and it’s positioning is ideal for the town centre.

Our parking can be booked direct with rates through our website, otherwise it is first come first served as outlined by the team, due to our limited parking spaces.
We will pick up on the point regarding the linen as this is laundered externally and routinely renewed as best in class quality.
It's great that your stay coincided with the good weather and you found the fan provision useful.

What a gem ..

What a little gem that has somehow passed us by on previous visits to Harrogate. Normally stay at the other end of Harrogate but found this hotel and we will not chose anywhere else from now on.
Great location , lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly, overall a fabulous hotel with character and nice vibe. We had a sunny day so managed to sit outside in their terrace area, this was wonderful too.
Rooms and hotel immaculate and such good value of money. Very impressed with Hotel du Vin and Bistro and we are planning our return soon.

Really upset

Really upset with the hotel. We came two nights for a birthday celebration but had to leave after one night after a bought of food poisoning following a meal in the restaurant. We were both up all night feeling very unwell.
When we left the next day we were told to contact the Deputy Manager Karen. I have sent two emails and two text messages and she has not shown us the courtesy of a response.
I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt as the hotel and room were lovely but just feel really let down with the lack of response which I find unacceptable.
The birthday was ruined and made worse by this lack of consideration.

Large clean well appointed room on the front. Good view but can be noisy from the traffic. Coffee machine, tea making, iron, hair drier and robes with a quality TV as well.
Large bathroom with nice fluffy towels and a roll top bath. Large powerful shower as well. All spotless.
