Exceptional hospitable

We had a lovely stay, our host was very kind, made us feel very welcome.
The b&b is the upper Floor with bathroom and 1 bedroom for 2.
Our host brought us to Wall for diner in the restaurant. We took Uber back.
Breakfast was wonderfull, lots of everything, we even were able to make lunch to breng with us.
We (my doughter and I) recommend this very hospitable host and lodging.

Beautiful house in stunning location with warm welcom

Crag House is a lovely home set in elaborate gardens with fabulous views out every window. My room was very comfortable. Mike and Melanie are very gracious hosts and gave me a warm welcome, including tea and delicious cake on their garden terrace. The breakfast was the best I had during my 5 night/5 B&B short walk along Hadrian's Wall. Everything about my stay was perfect.
I walked up the road from the Chollerford Roundabout and would recommend that walkers get directions on getting their via the Hadrian's Wall Path instead. The road was narrow and all uphill (for about 2 miles) and had a surprising amount of traffic in the late afternoon/early evening.

Best place we stayed while walking the wall

We loved our stay at Crag House while walking Hadrian's Wall. Melanie and Mike were wonderful hosts. After walking in the rain all day the fire in the lounge area was wonderful and we were able to dry our shoes. We were also treated to tea and Melanie's wonderful fruit cake. The rooms are cosy and breakfast outstanding.

Warm, comforting and incredibly welcoming

My boyfriend and I stayed during 5 days walking the wall. We had stayed in a mixture of B&B's and hostels and Crag house wasthe best by far. Although slighly tricky to get to (i think we may have not gone the right way), we were greeted by such a warm welcome into the owners home and after a long days's walking the offer of a cup of tea and cake was snapped up. The room was very clean but comforable with amazing views from the window. Its also on an Alpaca farm which provided some entertainment.
The owners offered us dinner or they could run us down to the local pub, we opted for the dinner which was amazing just what we needed after a long day's walking. And breakfast the following morning was just the same.
All in all, we had a lovely, although quite short stay but it provided the comfort and rest that we needed for the following days walking.

It's all true

My wife and I stayed at Crag house on a tour of the wall and then the north east coast. All the positive reviews are right. It's a lovely place and Mike and Melanie are excellent hosts. The only downsides were the weather over which even they had no control and finding it the first place as it is wonderfully out of the way. It may have been our sat nav but it did get confused with the location so make sure you know where you are going. It's well worth it.
