Beautiful friendly hotel

This was our second stay at this hotel. It’s in a lovely location and we’ll definitely be back again. We have a dog so the rooms with their own terraces are ideal. Beautifully clean and friendly hotel.

Ok hotel but poor sleep and lack of curiosity from staff

The hotel location was great, rooms were a little tired, food was good ,staff we're friendly but we had a not so good experience with the sleep side, the whole reason of booking hotel in a quiet location is to relax , the room no 3 was far from it , after noise, late at night from wedding guest which I know isn't hotel fault but then first morning was rudely awoken by loud bangs, but then laundry was brought up and down stairs by a guy stomping which is right outside the bedroom door, then dumping them right outside the room at 7 am ,we were apologise to and was told it wasn't going to happen the second morning ,but after a patronising comment from a member of staff first thing when I asked to change rooms ,
The second morning again at 7 a.m. was woken by loud banging off the doors being opened and staff downstairs, which continued has maybe didn't hear the morning before due to the stomping, the staff were loudly shouting or calling at each other/ or even sounded like the staff were arguing,with the main setup room for breakfast is directly underneath, banging of the cups as they're being put out and trays for the breakfast this was continuously going for at least 45 minutes,
As it was my birthday present all I wanted to do was spend a nice morning with a lie in till 8am on the weekend but to be woken rudely was very disappointed and frustrating , and I suggest to management to maybe stay in the room without staff knowing so they can get a feel to how loud it is!!!! Rather than brushing it off

Lovely stay

Great hotel, good food, good drink, fabulous location.
Tip...If you are planning to visit Keswick and will arrive back late make sure you book a taxi beforehand.
We found it difficult to get taxi back

MM how we want it to be

They’ve made the required improvements to make this a wonderful experience again. The breakfast buffet offers a great selection, the reception has been moved and the overall experience makes for a fab weekend break

Lovely hotel

We had one night at this hotel. We got upgraded. Very peaceful, very friendly staff. Excellent value for money
