A warm welcome

This hotel is centrally located, within walking distance of the Castle the estuary and the village.
On arrival we were shown around the bar, lounge and restaurant areas before being escorted to our room.
The room was comfortable and stylish equipped with a mini fridge, tea/coffee, iron & ironing board & hair dryer, also plenty of towels and toiletries.
This old building has been renovated, decorated and dressed to an extremely high standard.
Only down side was road noise, with only single glazed windows.
Dexters restaurant is an added bonus. The welcome was warm and friendly. The food was excellent, (beware huge portions!)
Breakfast was equally as delicious and again served by attentive waiting staff.
Cannot fault the whole experience and would highly recommend.

Stand out hotel in Laugharne

Beautifully renovated historic boutique hotel in small Welsh town. Centrally located, large room, good sixed bathroom, and amazing breakfast - including delicious vegan options. Dog friendly a bonus. In house restaurant but other options also available in town.

Lovely staff. Stunning rooms

On arrival we was met by the manager who was warm and friendly. We dined at the restaurant which was amazing. The rooms were outstanding. Definitely be back.

Disappointing

We stayed for 3 nights having been initially pleased to get a booking for the last available room. We thought the room was initially ok, until the incessant banging of the kitchen / restaurant service door below. The housekeeping left much to be desired, I had used a towel to clean off copious amounts of dust from the back of the bathroom door, skirting and boxing of pipe work, and left this, the bathmat and another towel on the floor which were still there when we returned in the evening, they were replaced on request, but not without being told off that “they should have been put in the bath” - did they really expect that we would be using them again! Wall fan and back of bed / wall headboard were also caked in dust.
Why give small bottle of mineral water and biscuits one day only - why bother to raise expectations.
The restaurant Dexters on our first night was reasonable and daily breakfast was good.

Sad Birthday walk experience

We visited Brown's on June 18 and we had heard of the Birthday walk and the free things you can get. Browns pub offered a pint. My friends twins were 19 on that day . The barman was very rude and unpleasant to the twins but seeming not to know about the Birthday walk. He did give them a Birthday pint but it spoiled the evening for all of us
