The settings were spectacular with many places of interest readily accessible.
Our room was a Denbigh with a beautiful view over neighbouring mountain ranges.
The food at both the Hall and the Inn were high quality albeit entirely different styles; the Inn offered excellent Gastro pub fayre and the Hall high quality Fine dining.
Our stay was most enjoyable and we will return but will first check to ensure our stay does not coincide with any private parties.

Triple check your dinner reservations will be honoured before you arrive!
There was no milk in the room on arrival and no plates.
Not an auspicious start!
Hope things improve over the weekend!

Disappointing celebration
We were very excited and when we were dropped off by our lovely taxi driver, we walked into reception with great anticipation and waited… and waited. Over 10 mins later someone arrived into reception and we were shown to the bar “where a colleague will be with you shortly..” and waited. And waited. No drink offered. No one came to us, no recognition, no apology, just ignored.
Again after another 10 long minutes we were shown to our table, asked if we’d like a drink, but then not even given dinner menus. I made the comment that I would have expected and have liked to have had a drink earlier, and ordered a glass of champagne. I was so upset I really just wanted to leave.
5 -10 mins later I got the champagne and had to ask for the dinner menus.
When the food came you could then see it was like a well oiled machine, high end conveyor belt and the food was beyond exemplary. Perfection. I slightly warmed to our server who was then extremely professional with her service and food descriptions, but the disappointment was still there. They did comp us the glass of champagne when we paid the bill, but the experience left us so upset and disappointed.
