Great budget hotel conveniently situated near Hackney Central. Very clean and better than I expected.
My only gripe is no air conditioning which was really needed.
Also to make it nicer the coffee offered could have been from a nice nespresso machine instead of instant.

This hotel is a functional, budget-friendly option that covers the basic essentials, but several issues during our stay impacted our comfort.
What Went Well:
- Basic Utilities: The room was clean, basic, and equipped with the necessary amenities for a simple stay.
- Value for Money: As a budget accommodation, it serves its primary purpose if you are simply looking for a place to sleep.
Areas for Improvement:
- Air Conditioning: Although the room had A/C, we were informed by staff that only two rooms in the building had working units. As a result, the room remained uncomfortably warm.
- Service Follow-Through: When we queried the heat, the staff offered to bring a fan to our room. Unfortunately, this promised fan was never delivered.
- Bedding Comfort: The pillows provided were extremely thin and lacked the support needed for a comfortable night's sleep.
Overall Verdict:
While this hotel covers the basics, the lack of functioning climate control and the missed service follow-up on the fan made the stay less comfortable than expected. It is a viable low-cost option, but guests should set realistic expectations regarding amenities and service reliability.

Air conditioning was broken. Room was more akin to a sauna that a bedroom. When we asked about air con, we were told it was broken in all rooms. They did provide a fan, but this simply blew hot air around. It was exacerbated by the fact the room didn’t have a window (!). I was shocked that windowless rooms are sold without prior warning. Not good.

Really nice place for a quick stay. My family was very comfortable in two double-bed suites. And there are lots of things to do in the surrounding area of Hackney Central. Very convenient for the underground, and the staff were awesome.

Staff will give you a key to anyone's room, just present your card and tell them it doesn't work, and your room number. Or whichever you want to enter. I did this twice for my own room, two different staff... The first didn't ask my name, the second helpfully told me what my name was (rather than ask me for it to confirm the booking name). Have they not been following the news?
