Lovely hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was excepional and very clean. Nice that it had balcony doors to open.
Lovely meal with great service.

Very Average

Very average experience and somewhat surprised by the general positive reviews this place gets.
On arrival and departure the reception was manned by two individuals who barely spoke, no greeting, no hello, no good morning, no goodbye, just said the bare minimum to check us in and on departure literally the only words spoken was “would you like your bags stored”, really odd experience.
We chose the hotel as it was close to Farringdon train station and we were visiting Exmouth Market for dinner and then onto Sadlers Wells for a show, so as far as location the hotel was perfect.
We booked two “Deluxe King Size Rooms” and bring blunt there was nothing deluxe about the rooms, the level of cleanliness was acceptable but it was not perfect, shower grout and tiles were a bit grimy. The furniture and wardrobes had all been painted and were chipped, my brother made the same comment on his room. There was no minibar as advertised. The windows had strange heavy duty shutters that felt like you were imprisoned when closed and when open you were a bit too exposed to the neighboring buildings. On a positive note the beds were extremely comfortable. I would class the rooms as a good Premier Inn room but nothing more.
Breakfast was very good and the staff here were welcoming and polite. There was a good choice and everything that was delivered was of a good standard.
I booked through Secret Escapes at approx £350 for bed and breakfast, there were cheaper double rooms and the prices through Secret Escapes were considerably cheaper than the hotels own advertised “member rate”. Having now stayed I don’t think it was good value.
Overall a very lackluster experience and I would not stay here again.

Hotel is in a beautiful area, great location, some wonderful eateries including the restaurant in the hotel. Our only complaint was that despite asking for housekeeping at check in our room wasn’t serviced, we had to ask on day 2, but didn’t receive any clean towels during our stay, which was disappointing.

Immaculately clean room, lovely full size luxury bath and shower products, complimentary magazines on each floor, water and tea and coffee in room. Fab location near Farringdon station and there is a great coffee shop called Compton in the adjacent square.

Very friendly staff. I liked the hospitality areas on each floor which have water bottles, glasses, magazine and books. Nice and modern everywhere, and very clean. Spacious shower with nice big shower head. Stayed for work as it’s nice and close to the office as well as Farringdon train station which in on the Elizabeth Line, going to the airport. Will stay again.
