The room was very clean and tidy, and perfect for my needs.
Ideal location as it it right next to Borough Tube Station, so I could easily nip to other parts of London after my working day.
Loads of shops near by and a pub literally on the doorstep, but don’t worry, no noise!
Only slight gripe was that the fan was just a standard desktop fan that was very loud.
Not the hotel’s fault that we now have heatwaves but something to consider as room upgrades.

DO NOT BOOK HERE

Do not let the photos fool you, this place probably looked like that 10 years ago. It is extremely worn down, unkempt, and overall a just a bad hostel. We stayed for two nights and it was miserable - the carpets were ‘cleaned’ right as we checked in so they were soaking wet. The bathroom just reeked of bleach. The photo showed two chairs for sitting but our room had a random mattress there instead. We didn’t even feel comfortable sleeping in the sheets - we were filled with regret having spent any money on the room. It was absolutely miserable. Avoid. Do not book.

Good location,Room was clean and so was the bathroom. Top floor so nearly 50 steps to climb.The room was very hot during the heatwave no Aircon. Window was damaged.

The room was good but did get very hot at night time however the hotel did provide 2 fans which didn’t do to much to help but except from that the location was perfect next to the tube station and a 5 minute walk to borough market and the hotel provided free waters during our stay

Upon arrival the staff were helpful. The room was clean - although tired-looking - with numerous scuffs and marks on the walls. The bed was well presented and the bathroom was clean and fitted out to decent standard.
However there were a number of things that weren't great. The main one being the the TV didn't work. Took ages to get it to turn on, and when it did there was no aerial for live TV and it didn't appear the TV had any built in apps. I had my laptop, so this wasn't too much of an issue for me personally, but it could have been.
A light hung on each side of the bed but neither worked. In the bathroom the toilet roll holder kept falling off the wall and when I came to have a shower in the morning, the shower gel container on the wall turned out to be empty.
So a number of relatively small things let the place down, but in terms of location and convenience I'd say it's a good place to stay.
