Great for our rugby tour!

A fantastic stay at this YHA. Brilliantly located near Canada Water Tube station, making it really easy to get around London. There’s also a great pub directly opposite, which was perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and having food included was a real bonus. An excellent base for a rugby tour – convenient, welcoming, and great value. Highly recommended.

Good but hot

Stayed in a private room for two nights, once solo and then joined by a friend the next day. The room was a decent size, clean, with a private bathroom. We stayed during the heatwave and a fan had been placed in our room as there was no air conditioning. Felt safe the entire time, both within the hostel and in the surrounding area, even when walking back solo late at night. Relatively quiet for London, soundproofing was good.
Location was excellent, only a ten minute walk from Canada Water tube station - we came for a concert at Wembley Stadium, although it takes about an hour you don't have to make any changes on the tube so was convenient for that. Not far or difficult to get into Central London either.
Staff at reception upon check-in were really kind and professional. There are water refill stations in reception, and it was nice that they were showing the match on Saturday night even though we didn't stay for this. I've stayed in a few YHA's around London and always have a good experience.
My only complaints would be the shower in our private room (room 316), there weren't many holes for the water to come out and the shower gel box covered most of where you'd want to be standing - given how hot it had been I was looking forward to a cool shower but it was awkward and didn't feel very refreshing. I also appreciate they're limited on what they can do during extreme heat but it was very hot in the room even with the windows open all night, it was like an oven. The fan was very much appreciated but the one we received was also a little inefficient and just blew hot air around. Fans in other rooms looked more powerful but again, I appreciate the difficulty in trying to provide adequate fans during this years unexpected heatwaves.
Overall, I would stay again! Clean, friendly staff and an excellent location for a good price.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the discomfort caused by the recent heatwave. London rarely experiences this type of weather, and unfortunately, our historic building's infrastructure is not currently optimized for extreme heat. We had planned to upgrade our fans ahead of this season, but high demand and low supplier stock delayed our efforts. We are glad you enjoyed our location. As you mentioned, our residential neighborhood is highly safe and secure. It is also excellent for transit, with Canada Water station connecting you easily to all major Underground lines. Having the C10 bus to Victoria Station and the 381 bus to Tower Bridge right outside our doors makes exploring London very convenient. Thank you again for staying with us and for your understanding. Adequate stay, breakfast access disappointing

Room was spacious though the bathroom had seen better days it was clean. Good value for money. Unfortunately we were unable to have our prepaid breakfast as there was a massive queue because of school groups. Would be better to purchase breakfast elsewhere or self catering.
