Superb hotel situated within an engaging environment
The Ty Hotel is a significant, beneficial addition to Milford Haven. Sat right on the marina waterfront, it offers marina views, modern, well equipped rooms, with welcome air conditioning and wifi as standard. The bar and restaurant area looks out over the marina, offering an engaging spectacle whilst eating and drinking. A small gym is a welcome addition for the health focused visitor.
Many hotels today offer limited to no parking or parking on the street. As someone who is particular about their car, it is a further benefit the hotel offers a sizable, gated car park opposite the hotel.
The staff on reception are professional, courteous and informative. Nothing was too much trouble during my recent stays.
On the marina you will find numerous places to eat. The Harbourmaster, Nauticos, The Crows Nest and Martha's Vineyard to name but a few. There are also hair dressers, sweet shops, cloths shops and dry cleaners, plus much more.
I visit Milford Haven regularly to see family. I immediately book the Ty Hotel when planning my visits. Highly recommended.

Nice location but needs improvement
Decided to book a last minute getaway with my mother, and after doing some research, we discovered the Ty Hotel, part of the Celtic Manor group. Upon arrival, I was surprised at how modern the hotel looked, and it wasn’t what I was expecting, but this wasn’t a negative. But then I did feel it was a glorified Premier Inn, and lacked a sense of uniqueness and felt somewhat generic. The reception staff were very friendly, and that’s always a nice start to any break. We were situated on floor 1, and I had decent expectations of the room, considering the status of the Celtic Manor. I’ll start with the positives.
1. We had a room overlooking the marina, which was lovely.
2. Rooms are a decent size
3. Asked for twin beds and that was done
4 food is nice. I opted for the mussels and they were delicious. Staff are very friendly and welcoming
Negatives
1. Loads of stains on the carpets
2. Kettle was dirty
3. Loud fan in the toilet
4. Room looked worn in places considering it’s a newish/ modern hotel. Crack in patio doors
5. People are drinking outside which is quite close to this particular room and they were rowdy. Nothing wrong with enjoying yourself but I wouldn’t choose this room if you’d rather some peace and quiet (room 117)

Enjoyable stay
New and modern hotel in great location. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of selection. Staff very helpful. Free parking a few metres away. Room was smaller than expected and given this is advertised as a luxurious hotel in the Celtic chain was a little disappointed to find no complimentary water or toiletries such as shower cap and tissues. Plenty of tea and coffee though. Also disappointed as booked king size room with waterfront view so was expecting a balcony or at least a room overlooking the wonderful boats on the marina as advertised in the photos. However had a side view of the waterfront with no balcony overlooking the harbour storage units Would recommend - sadly just a little disappointed in comparison to other stays in accommodation in the Celtic chain.

Good but not Great
Good location on marina and to 3 local restaurants 5 min walk. Drinks and food much more expensive than local restaurants. Hotel recently refurbed, clean, friendly helpful staff. Room was smaller than expected especially the bathroom. Breakfast quality was good but not great. Restaurant booked for Sunday night but cancelled due to price compared to marina restaurants.
Price for stay ok but if stayed again would pick a family room although just 2 adults for extra space.
