Another lovely place run by the group, only issue was the noisy people on the patio who were up until 12:30, fortunately I didn’t have an early start, but if you want an early night, probably best to request a room at the back

It would have been nice to have a fan or something that could cool the room down. The Dyson fan did not help. It was three of the hottest days in England and it was sweltering in the room. Even the linen was hot. It was so hot that my phone was over heating and could not charge. Fortunately there was a small refrigerator in the room that I could store my insulin.

We stayed here the night before going to Thruxton race circuit. When we rang to say we needed both our rooms to be twins or have separate beds, not a problem. We were able to have supper outside with excellent food and fantastic service. Beds were comfy, fans in every room for the heat and by 10am I had an email offering to post the PJ’s I had left behind! We will definitely come back and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff in particular were great - thank you

The shower hardly worked, it had a large shower head but water only came out of a handful of the holes and there was no hot water no matter how much the settings were adjusted so ended up washing my hair in the sink! The bed was uncomfortable and so had a really poor nights sleep. The only coffee in the room was for the nespresso machine, would have been nice to have a choice of capsules and instant coffee sachets. The pub and restaurant were very nice but I wouldn’t stay again unfortunately

Hit and Miss

I do not live in the area but did research as to the quality of the food and service.
I had one young member of the family who is lactose intolerant. As there was little on the menu for those who are lactose intolerant, we settled on a hummus starter. There was no hummus, so they brought us just veggies that would have been the "dipping veggie sticks". There was half a carrot and about a two inch length of cucumber cut into sticks. That was it. They tried charging us £3 for that. I was shocked. I asked for it to come off the bill. They did so without a major argument, which I was grateful for. I was also upset that one of my guests (a family of 6, including me) had their main meal in two tranches - because the kitchen forgot to put the yorkshire pudding on the plate. Cudos to them that they cooked it from scratch, but it was a long wait.
The food is good, the service is lovely but the overall feeling was a bit "hit and miss".
