Unsafe, anyone can be given a code to your room!

Terrible experience!
Pre-booked the room and a colleague also booked and got the room opposite.
On the day of check in you are sent the code for the front door and a unique code for the room.
My colleague went into her room to find a man already in there. She called the property manager who didn’t even apologise and instead of promptly resolving the issue she blamed booking.com, and also said it because our names are similar that she got confused and thought we were friends. We booked 2 months apart and we are not friends. We are just on the same course. So unprofessional! After my colleague was on the phone for 10mins, she was finally given a code for another room opposite mine. I went and tried it for her, and again there was someone already in there, a man, in bed!!!
Shocking!!
So my colleague was still on the phone to either Laura or Michelle, and was finally offered a room one floor up, clearly not wanting to refund.
As a solo travelling female I can only imagine how my colleague felt, and I myself did not feel safe staying there a minute longer after what I had just witnessed.
We reached the property at around 6.45pm. We left the property at 10.45pm. 4hrs and still not resolved!
I’ve had to fork out another £500 to stay at the travel lodge up the road.
I will never book here again or anywhere like it. Apparently anyone can just walk into your room at any time!
I’ve complained to booking.com and directly to the property manager as well.

Disappointing! Paper thin walls + laminate floor + banging doors = noisy stay!

Negatives - Very steep stairs to access the studios. Supposed to have a view - it was a car park. Doors are banging thoughout the night. Walls are extremely thin and you can hear what is being said in the room next door. Could hear both next door neighbours and upstairs neighbours speaking clearly. Upstairs neighbours walking around very noisy due to laminate flooring - you could even hear drawers being opened and closed. Woken at 4am by upstairs neighbours having sex - no carpets so sound carried. No TV - this is usually a basic. Lighting not very bright in room and bathroom so difficult for doing makeup, etc... Large gap at the bottom of the room door (1.5 inches) which lit up the room when dark - had to put a blanket against the door as the light outside of the room kept flicking on and off. Some mould in shower - sealant needs replacing. No shower/bath mat so very slippy when getting out of the shower due to laminate flooring. No plug in kitchen sink for washing up. Room overlooked by flats behind - lack of privacy. Extractor fan switch is above the bathroom door so has to be manually switched on and off - not ideal when you're 5ft.
Positives - Clean spacious room overall. Clean towels. No external road noise if at back of building. Basic facilities including microwave, 2 hobs, kettle and toaster. Tea and coffee provided. Dishwashing liquid and handwash provided. Lots of plug sockets. Comfy bed and pillow. Blackout blind. Shampoo, bodywash and conditioner provided (not used as I brought my own).

Booking cancelled by Warwick Street Studios no refund made

Warwick Street Studios cancelled our booking on the day we were due to arrive due to a water leak. Since then, we have been trying to get a refund as we had paid in full with no success. They just ignore any message sent and think they are entitled to keep the booking funds without supplying the apartment. Strongly advise you do not use them even if they quote a cheap price
