EXCELLENT STAY

What a lovely inn, not far off the main road, but quiet and peaceful spack dab in the middle of the countryside filled with cows, horses and sheep.
The exterior looks like an old farmhouse, but the interior is extremely modern and updated. The rooms are well appointed and the bathrooms are very large with a footed tub and huge walk in shower. Every amenity you could possibly ask for was included.
Service was prompt and impeccable and breakfast was lovely.
If you are looking for someplace to stay on this side of Islay, this is a wonderful choice.

Fantastic stay on Islay

Spent 3 wonderful nights at Skerrols House. The rooms are spacious, updated and very clean. The location is away from the hussle but not too far away - it was conveniently located for all the day trips . Thomas and team are so friendly! I'll be back.

Excellent house

The perfect hotel on Islay.
Great and lovingly furnished rooms and a breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired.
Thomas is the best host.
It is also the best starting point to visit the island and its distilleries.
We would love to come back to Skerrols House

Top notch place. Excellent in all aspects.

Stayed for one night on island tour. Room was fabulous with large comfy bed and simple but elegant furnishings and a nice bathroom. Plenty of lounge areas and other books and crannies to read or socialise. Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice. Hosts (Thomas) was super friendly and very helpful - made us feel very welcome indeed.

Our home from home stay

Our 3 night stay in in April 2023 at Skerrols House was a delight.
The location in the middle of the countryside, the cleanliness of the place, the very delicious breakfast, the elegant and careful decoration of our room and of the living room is remarkable, but the welcome, the availability and the good mood of Thomas are exceptional, and we want to thank him very warmly. We really felt at home...and since we cannot keep this place a secret, we highly recommend it to connoisseurs.
