Fun few days!

We've stayed a few times at this hotel when we've booked shows at The Alban Arena - which is only a few minutes walk and we've always had a pleasant experience. The staff are great, really welcoming and accommodating. They have redecorated their 'Social Lounge' which looks great and creates a nice atmosphere. Rooms were clean and the cleaners are lovely, always happy to help with extra towels etc. We had a premium room which was good but could probably do with refurb, carpets had a few stains. Breakfast and dinner really tasty, good vegan options - meal deal is really good value. We also enjoyed the 2 for 1 cocktails. Area is nice, lots of great pubs and churches! Good for a walkabout, close to St Albans cathedral which is quite something - we even got a look at a Peregrine falcon which nests there. Also Verulamium Park where we saw geese, swans and rabbits darting about. St Albans Arena is a great venue, been there a few times. One last recommendation is the Blacksmiths Arms just across the road from the Premier Inn - their bottomless brunch cannot be beat!

Terrible!!!!

Absolutely awful night’s sleep at Premier Inn St Albans City Centre. Room was directly opposite a nightclub and from midnight onwards all we could hear was loud music, heavy bass, screaming and shouting outside until the early hours.
Premier Inn refused a refund because apparently guests are expected to get out of bed in the middle of the night, get dressed and report it to reception, pack their belongings and move to a different room in order for the “Good Night Guarantee” to apply.
City centre hotel or not, being unable to sleep at all is unacceptable. Very disappointing experience and customer service.

Great break, helpful staff, clean comfortable room. Good food. Easy going atmosphere. Mainly quiet location. Have stayed before, will stay again

Great location, quiet, and comfortable.

We stayed here while visiting family in St Albans. It is very centrally located, with a very good coffee shop next door (Cafe Roma), and walking distance to loads of bakeries, pubs, restaurants, and a farmers market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Would have appreciated a small refrigerator! The walk to the train station was about 12 minutes. Although located in a busy area with a club next door, it was sound proof. Overall, it was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
