Great for the University of Warwick

Booked three rooms for my daughter’s graduation. Couldn’t have been better. Great communication before our stay with regards a few queries I had and about the resurfacing of the car park. On arrival we had a smooth check in. Rooms were modern and comfortable and the facilities at the hotel were great- nice bar (free tea and coffee) and a lovely cooked breakfast. It was obviously ideally located for the university but also the surrounding area. Free parking was also a bonus: highly recommend.

Avoid!

I was woken up at 8-something by the fire alarm. Apparently this happens often on Monday mornings?! They routinely test the fire alarm when people are asleep?! Craziest policy I've seen in anything ever. Avoid, especially on Sunday nights

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that your stay was disrupted by the fire alarm and completely understand your frustration at being woken up unexpectedly.
As part of our health and safety procedures, we carry out a weekly fire alarm test every Monday at 8:45am. We appreciate this may not be ideal for guests staying on a Sunday night.
We value your comments and will be reviewing both how we communicate the weekly test to guests and whether there may be alternative options available to help reduce disruption.

A very good hotel with good food and friendly service

A good hotel - rooms are clean, well appointed and modern. I found the bed comfortable with a choice of different pillows. Excellent walk-in shower. Friendly reception staff who were very helpful. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection and the food was good. As a conference centre it’s probably one of the best I’ve stayed at.

Pleasant stay and good food

I attended a weekend event at Warwick Conferences as part of a large group. We were actually staying at Bluebell hall, affiliated with an event at Scarman and having evening meals in The Slate. The overall experience was very good. The Bluebell rooms were clean and well kept and the meals were all good. This included breakfast in the Rootes restaurant and a buffet dinner in The Slate. There was a good choice of food and the quality was very good. Car parking was included but the campus layout is now confusing due to the one way system and several roads being closed off. Rooms were hot on arrival and although the curtains had been drawn the vents could possibly have been left open by the cleaners to cool the room. Maintenance was good and an issue was sorted very quickly. The pop-up bar at The Slate had a slightly limited drinks selection. It was quite a lot of walking between all the venues.

Good all round trip - helped that’s it’s onsite at Warwick Uni. Breakfast was plentiful and good value, stay only marred by car park out of commission.
