sunday lunch stop

Great place staff all accommodating and helpful , good customer service skills . we booked online while travelling home from our camping trip . we arrived early , so went for a wander around the village. we were seated in the window once they opened up . but we did book a restaurant table online . but my in laws didn’t seem to mind but we had to close the window as the wasps kept coming in . my father in law specifically went to the bar to ask if he could replace the broccoli on his small roast with cauliflower cheese and was told that it was fine as they all come out in a dish together so he would have cauliflower cheese anyway . i ordered the veggie meal , which does come with cauliflower cheese. my husband had the large chicken roast which also comes with cauliflower cheese. my in laws but had small roasts. when they bought it out it was one small dish with shredded cabbage broccoli and a very small dish of cauliflower cheese . so i went up to the bar and asked is there another one coming out and was told no because the small roasts don’t come with cauliflower cheese. so my husband and i had shared what was supposed to be ours . mind you those dishes are usually for one person in most places not two let alone 4 . so when i pointed out to the lady behind the bar that my father in law had asked for it and was told yes. they did bring another dish out .thank you for that . my mother in law kept saying it should of had carrots they always have carrots with their roasts and parsnips . but apart that the meal was excellent and we ate everything. my husband and i had no room for pud but my in laws shared a pavlova . said it was delicious we will definatly be returning. inside and outside seating plenty of room but it is advisable to book . they even do take away roasts.

Recent stay at the Hatch

We found this inn a fantastic place to stay with a great friendly atmosphere.
The room was lovely and the staff attentive. We had dinner the first night and breakfast the next morning and both were plentiful reasonably priced and delicious! We would highly recommend either stay or pop in for a meal or just a pint.

Little Gem

We stayed at this lovely pub on the 10/11 July 26 and again on the way back from Newquay 18/19 July 26 we were welcomed by Claire the owner very pleasant lady and very accommodating with our bookings the food was excellent and the rooms were very spacious well decorated and very clean we found the staff to be very polite this is a little gem if you’re looking for a overnight stay on the way to or from Cornwall would highly recommend

Great Little Country Pub

What an amazing find this was. From the moment we arrived we were made welcome by all staff. During the day the restaurant acts as a tea room with a good selection of light lunches and cakes. By night there is a great pub menu for your evening meal including vegetarian and gluten free options. Our room was well stocked and fresh milk was available from a fridge on the landing. Dogs are allowed everywhere and there is a lovely park just 2 minutes away. Breakfast is cooked to order. Thank you to everyone
