Great host and perfect location

I had such a wonderful stay here! The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The host was so kind and welcoming, and they made sure everything was perfect during my stay. The breakfast in the morning was great! The location was perfect. It was close to everything I wanted to see and do, but still peaceful and quiet. I could just walk everywhere and leave my car at the bnb.
I really appreciated all of the tips for the rest of my trip! She even took the time to sit down with me at breakfast and mark places that I should stop at along my drives on a map. (I did most of the stops if I was able and they were all AMAZING!!) I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay again in the future!

Cozy, Warm, & Absolutely Delightful

My wife and I have traveled all over the world and also lived internationally for many years. Lady Smith’s Guest House was by far one of the nicest places we have stayed. The room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and cozy. The bed was great and comfortably slept two adults in the king-size bed — and yes, the bed was comparable to an American king.
Moreover, Louise (the owner) was absolutely fantastic! She was extremely hospitable but not overbearing. This is one of the hardest balances to strike for a guesthouse owner, and Louise did it perfectly. She recommended several great places to eat in town, all a short walk from the guest house. Tesco (a Scottish supermarket) is also a short 5-minute walk (2 minutes by car).
There are numerous places to hike, cold-water swim, and have a pint in this area of the Highlands. In short, this is one of the best places I have stayed in more than 20 years of traveling. If you are looking for a fantastic place to stay, I highly recommend reaching out to Louise at Lady Smith’s Guest House.

Cosy and warm, a cottagecore dream!

My friend and I spent two nights at Ladysmith as part of our tour package. The host was warm and welcoming, and the place has such a cosy, home-like feel to it (we had to prevent ourselves from squealing in front of her when she showed us our room). The decor was lovely, and so were the breakfasts. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Terrible

Damp ceilings with plaster & paint hanging off & mold on the curtains & on the bathroom ceiling . Shower not working properly . Total let down & too expensive

Overpriced for substandard accommodation

We had this b&b allocated to us on our Rabbies tour for a 2 night stay. On arrival the tour guide had to ring the proprietor for the door to be opened . We had a run down on key handling and breakfast times , on entering our room it was a shock . Room smelt of drains a massive blue bottle was in the room buzzing around and paint was peeling of the ceiling. Walls were damp and had mould curtains didn’t close and curtain rail was rusty . See photos the shower was broken and struggled to get in a position to shower but it moved as you showered so disappointed , there was one bottle of hand wash for the hand sink. so fortunately we had our own soap for the shower.
The only saving grace with this property was the breakfast but for £150 a night was totally disappointed. Alex Polizzi would have had a field day
