Excellent from arrival to departure. Thank you to every member of staff.
A phenomenal collective of staff who couldn’t have done more for us, when we celebrated my daughter’s wedding. From the moment of arriving to after departure, each and every member of staff we came into contact with couldn’t have been more friendly, professional, helpful, kind or caring. They made our family celebrations truly unforgettable. We can’t thank you enough. I would absolutely recommend Fanhams Hall for any special occasion/celebration. Thank you.

Luxurious stay
We visited Fanham the second time to celebrate our 63rd wedding anniversary. Once again Sarah went out of her way to make our stay special. We were upgraded to the Quince suite, which was very luxurious this included a complimentary cream tea. We'd like to mention a few staff members such as Sophie, Claire and Archie in the bar, they were so helpful, friendly and professional. We'll definitely be returning to Fanham. Thank you everyone for making our stay so special. Margaret and James.

Lord of the Manor
WOW, booked here while working in the area .
Check in was a breeze and got a free upgrade to a larger courtyard room.
Staff here are brilliant, Hotel wasn’t busy so probably got a better experience.
Courtyard room was great with really good coffee and tea , very nice amenities in the room and couldn’t fault it (maybe a fridge be good) .
Had dinner in the restaurant and WOW it was a great experience, great service, great food in a wonderful restaurant.
I had padron peppers followed by tempura haddock , both were fabulous, compliments to the chef.
Considering I paid way less than the premier inn , it’s great value .
The grounds are unbelievable here and you can have a fantastic walk .

Luxury and friendly
Once again my husband and I returned to Fanhams. I can only express the service we get from checkin to leaving, thanks to Sarah, and Sophia on checkin day.
Hazel did our telephone booking and was most helpful and friendly. We were booked into Quince once again. Which is absolute luxury. Also like to mention Ellie in the bar and Katie at breakfast so friendly and helpful. All these ladies greet us with smiles and say they are so happy to see us again and make us feel so special. We feel so relaxed and just keep coming back to Fanhams. Definitely recommend Fanhams

Surroundings and building are beautiful, but….
Beautiful building and surroundings but note that is what you’re paying for! We stayed in a Comfy Room which I definitely wouldn’t say is of 4* quality. It’s quite small, basic furniture which needs updating, no aircon but they supply a fan and windows that don’t open very far so be prepared to be in a stuffy room in the summer months. Nice bathroom, very clean and with some Molton Brown products. Now the walls are paper thin so if you have neighbours you will hear everything! Food quality of lunches and evening meals is good however breakfast lets it down. Selection of cereals, whole fruit, small yogurt option but in bowls, not in closed pots, small pastries, toast but no gluten free or sourdough unless you ask for it, coffee/tea selection but from a machine not freshly made for you. The cooked breakfast is buffet style so can sit there a while. Be prepared for lukewarm food even when it’s new onto the hot plate. So a lovely place but would say it’s pushing it for a 4*.

I am sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. As a historic Grade II listed property, our bedrooms vary in size and character, and we offer a range of room categories designed to suit different preferences and budgets. It is unfortunate that your visit coincided with the recent heatwave. While our bedrooms are not air conditioned, we do provide fans for guest comfort, and we recognise that the exceptionally high temperatures made conditions less comfortable than usual. Your feedback from your breakfast experience have been shared with our Head Chef and Operations team for review, as we are always looking for ways to improve our guest experience.
