Located just outside the small Welsh village of Chirk, on the Wales-England border, Moreton Park Hotel offers free on-site parking and is only 10 minutes’ drive from Wrexham city centre.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY IF WISH TO VIST Chirk Castle, Llangollen, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Horseshoe Falls, Horseshoe Pass .
Great as before and again we stayed for 2 nights, very clean as it always is and we did not find a problem with noise.
Breakfast was 5 star so much to choose from and a great cooked breakfast and still served like in past 4 years we have stayed by Lyn.
Nothing is to much trouble and she does a great job, found out she has been doing it for 24 years SO DO HOPE IN HER 25TH YEAR SHE IS REWARDED FOR LONG TIME SERVICE.
Great place if you wish to visit Chirk Castle, Llangollen, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Horseshoe Falls, Horseshoe Pass to name a few places.
It is such a shame the restaurant and bar are still closed after all these years so you have to walk 200 yards to the Poachers Pub - Restaurant for an evening meal.

A dump of a place that needs delousing.
When you arrive at your hotel, you would expect to be greeted with a welcome, not by the first words out of the receptionist mouth being, you can't check in till 3pm.
Yes we were early, 2.45pm.
He did give us room key and off we went to our room. Quickly changed and tried to set up WiFi, no instructions anywhere so back to receptionist to be told, look for moreton park guest. OK, back to room, nothing shown.
Back to receptionist to be told, you will have to take a booster out of the corridor.
Sorry but I am not going to do that as others may then have an issue.
The receptionist then begrudgingly came from behind the counter muttering that its always the same when he comes back off holiday.as housekeeping keep turning things off and he has to sort them out?
So on establishing what was on and what was off he still gave us a booster to plug in our room, yes we then had signal.
Obviously an issue as he solved it easily.
Room was a good size, but knew nothing about it being on two levels.
After going out for the evening, we got back only to find the room temperature unbearable so it was a night on the floor as was not leaving downstairs windows open and no window up, no reception to ask for a fan so managed the best we could.
That was not the worst of it though, when having a shower this morning my wife noticed ants (flying and normal) in the bathroom, absolutely disgusting as its obviously an issue as we then found two garden ant traps in the room.
1 in the bathroom and one in the lounge.
Could not believe what we had found and would have complained but at 8.45am no one on reception.
Staying in hotel rooms between 45 and 50 nights per year, this has to be the worst one ever.
Cleanliness, attitude big no no.

Basic but clean
Basic but clean accommodation. Main issue was lack of staff, facilities and the worst bed I've ever slept in. The mattress literally bent in the middle! There is no receptionist until 2pm and there was a notice to say no food could be provided by the adjoining pub as they haven't been able to recruit staff to open. We hadn't booked breakfast so this wasn't an issue but we were hoping to have lunch. Went to the neighbouring garden centre instead. If you are using it as a base for Llangollen be aware that if you need public transport, buses are your only option. The chances of getting a taxi are slim to zero.

It was clean and staff were helpful.
The room is very basic and fairly worn.
No fan or aircon.
The restaurant is permanently closed.
There’s no fridge/minibar in the room, which is tricky when there’s no breakfast spots before 10am on a Sunday.
I won’t stay again.

The Stay at the Morton Park Lodge was very nice the Rooms & Breakfast was very Good,
