5/5 — Exceeded every expectation
Our stay at Banyan Tree Lăng Cô was nothing short of exceptional, from start to finish. The butler service set the tone immediately — a warm, personal in-room check-in that made us feel like guests of honor rather than just another booking. That same level of care carried through every touchpoint: attentive customer service, a chef at breakfast who genuinely cared about getting things right, and in-room dining that never missed a beat.
A few highlights that truly stood out: the team organized a custom birthday celebration for my son that exceeded anything we could have hoped for, and when we had a late-night craving for bún bò Huế, they made it happen without hesitation. Saffron and Azure — simply incredible.
Having stayed at the InterContinental Da Nang just days before, the contrast was stark. For the same money, Banyan Tree is the far better choice. This is quiet luxury done right — understated, warm, and deeply comfortable — a world apart from the louder, flashier energy of the IC.
We’ll absolutely be back, and next time, we’re staying longer.

Absolutely perfect resort
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful resort. Our Villa host Jade could not have been more amazing and was so helpful in arranging activities for us. We loved the coffee making session, and the birdwatching, and our villa was absolutely beautiful with everything we could need. We also enjoyed some excellent meals on the resort, with the wonderful dinner at Saffron a particular highlight.
I would also like to say a big thank you to our driver Tom (Tuyen) who took us to My Son and Hoi An. Tom was not only an excellent driver but a wonderful and entertaining guide, giving us considerable local knowledge and insights into the places we were visiting. It was a very hot day (for us!) and we really appreciated how Tom ensured we were staying cool. On reflection after our return home, this was the best day of our entire trip, and it would not have been as great if Tom hadn’t been so helpful.
I would recommend this resort to anyone wanting a wonderful relaxing holiday, and we are already planning our next visit.

Exceptional Hotel
We have stayed at many hotels over the decades and I can say that this hotel is simply the best we have ever been to. From the moment we arrived we were thoroughly pampered and looked after like VIP’s thanks to the wonderful team of people, who were genuinely welcoming and so very caring.
Our room was superb, lots of wonderful personal touches. Spotlessly cleaned and very comfortable. The various restaurants catered for everyone’s tastes.
The location is 2 hours from Danang but that was what we wanted completely peace and quiet. It’s also easy to do day trips.
You are assigned a villa host, almost like a personal assistant . Who will organise anything you need, activities, excursions, golf. My husband loved the golf course. Our room host Jade, meticulously looked after our every need, we really loved this girl - so Banyan Tree management, please make sure you praise his young lady. Man as well was really good, and shout out to My in Azura restaurant who was excellent.
You can take bikes or a golf cart around the resort - great fun.
We are already planning to return next year!

An unforgettable stay at Banyan Tree Lang Co
We just spent 4 magical nights at Banyan Tree Lang Co, and this stay will stay with us thanks to the exceptional attention from the staff.
A huge thank you to Jennie, who arranged every detail of our stay with remarkable care and kindness. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her, and her presence made every day smoother and more enjoyable.
Breakfasts became a highlight of their own thanks to Nho Le, who turned this moment into a unique experience every morning thanks to her mango sticky rice.
Finally, a big thank you to Ms Dao, the manager, whose attentiveness and professionalism show in every aspect of the hotel. She runs this hidden gem with a rigor and warmth that make all the difference.

Stunning location with poor level of service, maintenance and hygiene
Our stay at Banyan Tree Lang Co was deeply disappointing. While the resort enjoys an absolutely stunning location and the villas are beautifully designed, the overall experience falls far below what anyone would expect from a luxury resort.
The biggest issue was the lack of hygiene. The carpet in the breakfast area was visibly dirty, the windows in our villa had not been properly cleaned, the balcony floor was covered with dirt, there was dust inside the wardrobes, and dirty glasses regularly remained on restaurant tables for long periods. This level of cleanliness is simply unacceptable for a resort of this category.
Service was equally disappointing. The resort is clearly understaffed, and the few employees available often seemed inexperienced, poorly trained, and unfortunately not very welcoming. Dirty plates and glasses were left uncleared, ordering food or drinks at the pool or beach required endless waiting, and even finding someone to take an order was often difficult. The lifeguard was nowhere to be seen most of the time.
Access to drinking water was another major frustration. Throughout our trip in Vietnam, every hotel continuously offered complimentary chilled drinking water. At Banyan Tree Lang Co, bottled water was provided only in very limited quantities, and ordering additional water was often impossible because there was simply no staff available or the waiting time was excessively long.
The distance between the villas and the main facilities is too great to walk comfortably, making the buggy service essential. Unfortunately, waiting for a buggy frequently took far too long, adding unnecessary frustration throughout our stay.
The breakfast and overall food quality were also noticeably below the standard of other luxury hotels we visited in Vietnam. Combined with the slow service, dining became an unpleasant experience rather than something to look forward to.
Overall, the resort feels like a former luxury destination that has lost its standards. It is a case of faded glory: an idyllic setting and spectacular villas are overshadowed by poor maintenance, insufficient cleanliness, inadequate staffing, and disappointing service.
It is truly a shame to see such a beautiful property and exceptional location undermined by poor hygiene, lack of maintenance, and a level of service that is nowhere near what a Banyan Tree resort should deliver. We left wondering how the resort can generate revenue when guests have so few opportunities to order food or drinks, and when every request involves such long waiting times.
With proper investment in staff, maintenance, cleanliness, and guest service, this resort could once again become exceptional. In its current state, however, it falls far short of the luxury experience its reputation and price suggest.
