Great location in Dili

Great Location. Lots of restaurants around, and bakeries, supermarkets and even ATM within walking distance.
The number 02 Microlet goes down this road.
Rooms are very spacious with most amenities. Housekeeping sometimes did not top up coffee, and had to ask from reception. But they did provide plenty of bottled water. No cutlery in room. I had to ask for knife from reception to cut up fruit. Cups are provided
Wifi was variable.
Laundry service available at a cost. It does take a day or so which is expected. Only each item comes tagged with room number. You may need a pair of scissors to remove it.
Breakfast was not good. It was inside the Great Wall Restaurant. Very basic and often items not available. Compare this to Sunset Inn down the road which had a terrific spread.
I had lunch and dinner there but was not impressed. Prices are high, no local dishes. Lots of staff but very little service or assistance. One time after 30 mins left waiting at table for dinner i left the restaurant and went elsewhere. The Steakhouse restaurant is not too bad.
Renovations were going on at the front so interesting to see how it looks in future.
Overall a good place to stay and a great location in Dili

A very good choice in Dili

We enjoyed this hotel where we slept twice two nights. The very friendly and helpful staff arranged very well our free transfer from the airport, and port, and to the port and departure station of Badadock buses to Kupang. The wifi works well, the breakfast is okay, the rooms are as big as suites, with a living room. The air conditioning works very well. Finally, this hotel is conveniently located, not far from the government palace, close to the Badadock bus ticket counter.

Very clean, comfortable and in a great location.

The Plaza Hotel is very comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff and is located at the best end of town. It is near the beach and has shops nearby. It has its own restaurant, with a Malaysian chef, and the food is unfailingly good. Prices are very reasonable. The rooms are quite large and diligently cleaned every day. We were here for a week and would certainly come again. Highly recommended.

Excellent choice in downtown Dili

Excellent choice in the downtown area close to the museum as well as the seafront. We stayed initially at Timor Plaza for two nights then returned from Atauro a day early and price at Timor plaza was double what I paid for prior booking and the following night. So instead we called plaza and its a pleasant surprise. Looks unimpressive from outside but excellent bed and very quiet. Plaza hotel is very comparable with Timor Plaza. Breakfast at the excellent Great wall Chinese restaurant next door.

Modern, Clean and Spacious Hotel

When I arrived, from the outside this hotel looks quite run down and looks like an old American motel. However inside it was really modern, clean and spacious and the internet works well. It was much nicer than the outside would suggest, the bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast was also really good. A few things that weren't so good, my AC unit was really noisy, and this hotel is really expensive for Asia. But in general Dili is really expensive, probably due to the lack of tourism. I went to the reception a few times and couldn't find anyone, so I think they should try and ensure that the reception is staffed. I couldn't fault anything in the room though, a modern, clean hotel room.
