Excellent Hotel close to University of Zambia

This hotel is very conveniently located for getting to the University of Zambia although there’s a busy road to cross. The staff welcomed us warmly and the hotel was modern and clean, with a lovely patio for breakfast and a very nice pool area and bar. Local beer (Mosi) was around £1 for a small bottle.

Bad experience

Went there just to have a good time with long time friend ordered food 30 minutes later only to be told that the kitchen didn't receive the order that took another 30 minutes, staff not friendly at all.

Not as Quiet as Expected

I stayed at this hotel and was impressed by several aspects: the rooms are very clean, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the property is generally located in a quiet environment, which initially made it an appealing choice.
However, there were a few issues that significantly affected my stay. On one occasion, the air conditioner remote went missing from my room. I called reception and was assured that the matter would be addressed, but after waiting for over an hour with no follow-up, I had to go down to the reception myself to resolve it.
Additionally, on one of the nights, there was very loud music that disrupted the peace and quiet I had specifically chosen this hotel for. Despite making two calls to reception, the only response I received was that “they were working on it,” and unfortunately, the disturbance continued.
Overall, while the hotel offers clean facilities and courteous staff, the lack of responsiveness to guest concerns and the unexpected noise disturbance were disappointing. This hotel has potential, but greater attention to guest comfort and prompt resolution of issues would make a big difference.

Nice stay!

We stayed at the Asmara while visiting our son and his family.. it had a lovely small scale feel to the entire place. The staff was very attentive and the food was fine. It was convenient and an easy place to stay

COMFORT IS KEY

The rooms are quite clean and tidy and the friendly staff readily accommodated our needs as we were staying with children. Located in a quiet area and the food is quite good. The kids appreciated availability of kids channels on the TV for some evening entertainment!
