Good Hotel, Great Staff, Fantasitc Location
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the last year. What impressed me on this trip was the number of staff in the restaurants and the front office who recognised me and personally welcomed me. As a Gold All Accor member, I was upgraded to a corner room, which is larger and very comfortable.
The hotel is equidistant to the famous Adelaide Market, King William Street for the trams and Adelaide Railway Station (suburban, not interstate). Adelaide Airport is a relatively short ride to the city, and the bus stop is about a 5-7-minute walk in the city. (Unfortunately, ADL Airport is stingy with public transport passengers; it's the longest walk, and there is an uncovered walk to the bus stop, and the shelter is not large enough for the number of passengers. There are rental cars, Ubers and Taxis all readily available. (all under cover) ).
The other things I like about the hotel are the swimming pool area, smallish gym, and 'The Library', which is near the function rooms. A lovely place to read, sit, and meditate, with a desk and chair to do some work if you want to be outside your room for a bit.
There is a nice buffet breakfast, and the staff are very helpful for people with gluten and lactose intolerance, such as myself. It is a pity they put the gluten items to absorb the fat from the bacon. One of the chefs, realising this, cooked fresh bacon for me.
From my personal experience, I do recommend this hotel.

Great hotel - friendly staff
Visiting to see the Impressionists at SA Gallery we hadn’t planned much more. Delighted on checking in that we were given some tips on what else to see. illuminate was amazing! Thanks.
I have to say that our room was more than pristine every day - thanks to the housekeeping staff. (I’ve never completed a hotel about cleaning before!)
The restaurant was excellent and I appreciated a change they made to the menu based on a request.
It’s useful to be in a hotel with a 24 hr desk if you need to check out at a strange hour. We appreciated the tip about coffee in KiKi.

Peppers visit July 26
Staff friendly and efficient. Room good. Bit of noise as near lifts. The area around the flooring between bathroom and carpet looked like it needed good vacuumed. Bed comfortable with good pillows. Food very good had dinner and 2 x breakfast.

Not impressed for 5 star
I was not impressed by this hotel for a 5 star. Have stayed in better less stars. Advertised spa was cold despite it being winter and looking forward to a warm spa. Gym was very underwhelming-just a few cardio machines in a tiny room. Sheets had stains which was very off putting. Staff were very friendly though.
