Good value !

We enjoyed our stay at this pousada . It is located close to the center of Belem , there are restaurants and stores near by and the staff was very nice ! The rooms are o.k. and it is quiet during the night . The best asset : the price !

Clean, good location close to the markets

The selection of places to stay near the market area of Belem is limited. The location of this property is good for access to the area during the day. At night there is not much going on as they pretty much roll up the sidewalks after the sun goes down. If you do go out be sure to take a cab to and from. The hotel is comfortable, has a good shower, working A/C and breakfast is basic. Would recommend.

Not very good!

It has a beautiful garden inside, but the rooms are not very clean, not very confortable either and the breakfast is very poor. It is a part of the city very poor, with no police and very dangerous to walk, especially if you are alone.

One of the best

Clean, quiet, well located, competitively priced, good breakfast, hot water delivered by piping to the shower, 24-hour front desk, pleasant and attentive staff, ivy covered street entrance, attractive use of vines and plants; clearly if they had more apartments they would fill up.
-
This Posada (Bed and Breakfast) has 11 rooms, and enough employees to be sure things are taken care of. Your only objection might be that the sheets are too short for the mattresses.

great location for realworld-friends

went to belem with my parents for a short vacation and we stayed at the ecopousada miriti, in a 4 bed room.
the cleaning/kitchen staff was definitely the best part of the stay. super nice and helpful, made us feel at home.
the reception staff though was a little too apathic, though very polite. so it was not easy gettin help from them. hopefully, we could talk to the girls at the kitchen during breakfast!
overall, i found the hotel a little expensive for what it offers, the room was not too clean (is a humid city, so the choice of a white ceramic floor for the entire room is not the best choice). we did see many insects inside the room, but being in the amazon, i dont see this as a bad thing.
leaving the hotel at night sounds a bit dangerous, so watch your ways. the area surrounding it is of prostitution and drug dealing. but we did not see anything aggressive.
its super close to the beautiful praca da republica, and within walking distance to most points of interest in the old city part. we love city centres, so it was perfect location for us. if you are interested in fancy stores and restaurants, that might not be a good option.
