Just about everything in Rapa Nui (including much of the water) needs to be brought by boat or plane from Chile and often from farther afield. As a result, things are used and repaired until they fall apart. This shows in some areas of the hotel. If you take that into consideration, this hotel is very well run. We appreciated the suggestions and help from the staff, as well as the free transfer to and from the airport.

Unfortunately not recommended

Dia facility has obviously not been renovated for many years and is accordingly worn out. There is no air conditioning and no safe in the room. Bath towels for the pool are available for a rental fee of about € 5,- per day. The selection at breakfast is among every criticism. Instead of proper coffee, there is only soluble powder coffee. Who wants fruit for breakfast is wrong here. There is only a bowl of fruit salad instead of the abundant fresh fruits like pineapple or melons on the island. The staff at breakfast was unmotivated and disinterested. There is no hotel bar, just a fridge shop with soft drinks and beer. There are no bars or restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The bustling main road is about 15-20 min on foot. The price is excessive. The positive: Staff at reception were very helpful. Pool and garden are well maintained. There is a bike rental, about € 25,-/24h.

Excellent Hotel, recommended 100%

Excellent hotel, its staff very concerned about attending to the needs, very clean, excellent pool, very good breakfast, we were greeted at Mataveri Airport with necklaces and flowers, transfer Airport / Hotel / Airport, 100% recommended, congratulations to its staff especially Felipe.

The room was very basic, with no extra amenities in the room. Off to a bad start, the hotel failed to pick us up at the hotel and made no effort to cover the cost, but other than that staff were friendly. Free breakfast was good.

The room was ok. Bathroom was very stinky with no air circulation. Very few pool chairs and people left their towels there all day. Breakfast was poor. One piece of bacon left and they didn’t replace it while we were there.
