Large, clean room, very comfortable and at a reasonable price. The hotel is old, but still well-maintained.
Good location with lots of local restaurants and easy access to the city center by taxi (I did not try public transport so cannot comment on that). 2 complimentary water bottles per day.
Staff spoke English and was friendly.
They also offer money exchange at reception.
There was no hair conditioner (I knew this from the hotel description).
The shower tap would leak and I could not/did not know how to properly close it.
What I did not like about the room was that there was no ventilation and the room always smelled of cigarettes, even though it was a non-smoking room.
Overall, good experience.

Poor hospitality and extremely uncooperative

I’m a doctoral student from India. I was at Beijing for medical Conference. This hotel was the venue for the conference so I booked them for stay as well. They charged me 400 RMB as deposit in addition to the room fare. Nobody else was charged this amount. When refunding it back the desk manager refunded the entire room fare as well as the deposit and asked me to pay for room stay again. I was using single currency forex card and the refund amount never reflected. They said it might take a month. So now I was left with two paid bills and no refund. I contacted the bank and they asked me to take a letter from the hotel saying they will not claim the refund money back. This was for my bank to release the refund amount to me as it was on hold. The hotel refused to help with this either. The staff is extremely poorly informed. They don’t help. It was their fault but all they could say was it was unfortunate. I don’t recommend this hotel for any international travelers.

Very nice hotel. Our room got upgraded. They provide daily room clean plus free bottle water. Location is very good. A few minutes walking to the subway and public transportation. We will stay there again next time.

The price/performance ratio is really bad, the equipment in the room is outdated, the bed is very small, the mattress is very hard, the overall feeling is like a hotel in the last century, the bathroom smells bad, a musty smell of the sewer, which is disgusting, does not provide toothbrush and toothpaste , called the front desk and said it was an environmental requirement. In short, it is very poor, not as good as Home Inn, Hanting, and will not live again. It is listed with five stars. The actual room feels at most two stars and cannot be higher. The lobby and breakfast are ok. If you live, I really can't live. In recent years, I have stayed in one of the worst three-star hotels and above.
