Perfect location!

We arrived in the dark and didn't know what to expect. The taxi dropped us off just outside of this complex of ceramic shops / studios / museum. It was a short well lit walk to get to the hotel reception (great signage!)
Location was perfect for us. Walking distance to the areas we had earmarked for our first visit. Great area to stroll in the evenings after dinner.
Room was very comfortable (clean, spacious - I think it can be noisy but reasonable), front desk staff was friendly, professional and very helpful when we needed assistance.
Definitely recommend and definitely would stay here again.

Porcelain and Jingdezhen - see china in China!

We went to Jingdezhen - the porcelain capital of China - to see china! It was a super trip and stay and April our guide was excellent - shared her passion for porcelain with us and was most helpful with many things. We would encourage more people to visit Jingdezhen - the porcelain made there is exquisite and a long history of being manufactured there. We got to see how they made porcelain and met local artisans old and new! Great old factory area converted to an porcelain artisans area. Thank you April and China Highlights for organizing this tour on our request.

cost-effective and satisfactory hotel

My American friend James and I came to the Guomao Hotel in Jingdezhen. This is a four-star hotel located right in the center of Taoxichuan. The hotel has been in operation since 2018, and by now it’s considered one of the established hotels in the city.
It sits in Jingdezhen’s old town area, with very convenient transportation. Taxis from outside can drive directly into the Taoxichuan Guomao Hotel entrance. We spent some time sitting in the lobby, and the environment felt very nice.
The price here is also quite cost-effective. The average rate is around 80 US dollars per night, including breakfast. The hotel mainly caters to business travelers, so it’s a business-style hotel. Whether you come to Jingdezhen for business or for leisure, it offers good value for money.
Overall, our impression was positive.

luxury hotel right in the middle of the action. surrounded by ancient kiln and smokestack relics. location has everything from street fair potters selling pieces for a few dollars to high end galleries selling pieces for thousands of dollars each. buy pots or throw your own at one of the many studios - some have over 100 wheels. lively night market. quiet plazas in the mornings with folks doing everything from tai chi to aerobic dance. many dining options on the surrounding surface streets. cars aren't allowed inside the Taoxichuan complex but a taxi can drop you at the hotel steps.

Super convenient hotel with ceramic market just at your doorstep. One inconvenience during our stay is that Didi (ride hailing) does not allow us to pin the hotel lobby as location, have to walk to a designated place abt 3mins away.
