And last but not least, the entertainment team ( Animation)... without them, and big part of everything fun and enjoyable would be missing. There is daily entertainment provided on the beach, from morning until the beach closes each day. This consists of music, dancing, foam parties, Yoga, Darts, games and a variety of activities that are arranged by the animation team. And every night there is entertainment and shows either by the pool number 1, and the main restaurant, or in the Ampi Theatre. Thank you Besoo and everyone for making my time here so much fun, and a very happy and memorable experience ❤️

BUDGET HOTEL WITH NICE REEF, BEACH, FOOD AND GROUNDS
For the trip to Egypt, we chose Sharm el-Sheikh because it is this resort famous for the most beautiful coral reefs. Long time choosing a hotel and finally staying at the relatively budget Island View Resort 5* located amongst expensive hotels in Sharks Bay with its own very beautiful coral reef.
We've been postponing a trip to this country for a long time, for nothing. We were simply captivated by Egypt, namely the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
First of all, we were absolutely delighted with the underwater world of the warm Red Sea! One of the most striking experiences was the endless snorkelling we enjoyed as if swimming in a fishbowl. The sea gardens off Sharks Bay are mind-blowing.
Coral gardens are home to bright fish, actinias, rays, sea urchins and stars. Here you can see large napoleons, rays and dangerous wings, surgeonfish, moorland. Plus, there are no underwater currents in Sharks Bay, so it's the best place for beginners who want to go diving. For experienced divers, night dives are offered, which is also very interesting.
The second is climate! We rested here from 24.07 to 03.08 and despite the fact that many complain about the heat in the summer, we had to taste it - endlessly sunny, clear, comfortable-hot weather, so well suited to beach holidays and snorkelling - we swam for hours in the warm sea because we could not get away from the beauty of the underwater world and the fish, and we were not cold in the water, and when we came ashore we did not hedgehog from the cold wind, chilly in towels like in winter. And the lack of rain and clouds could not ruin any planned excursions, as, for example, can often happen in Asia.
ROAD AND SETTLEMENT
We flew from a/p Vnukovo to Sharm el-Sheikh quickly, with a flight time of five hours, by the Egyptian airline Nesma Airlines, and despite that we were tolerably fed. Three days before the flight, we changed our airline, and the departure time, which we were not happy about: we were supposed to arrive before lunch, but arrived late in the evening, but nothing can be done, although we got very quickly: the hotel is close to the airport - the transfer is 15 minutes on average - and very close to the famous place Soho Square (240 m), but dinner was no longer, of course, very late, but dinner was still waiting for us in the room, and we ate so well on the plane that there was no special appetite to eat at night. In a/p we quickly passed passport control, issued a tourist visa ($25), as we planned to take an excursion to Cairo. We didn't buy the dollars because we already had the right amount of dollars purchased at home.
We checked us in quickly and, accepting a present from us in the form of Alyonka chocolate, gave us the keys and took us by electric car to our room, because the hotel territory is quite long, and we hoped with a blink of heart to check into a normal room, because we knew from the reviews that the rooms here are old. At first we thought the room was tired, but then we evaluated the advantages of our room:
First, we had everything working and nothing breaking or leaking;
- second, the location of our room was in close proximity to the sea, which is very convenient, as the hotel grounds are elongated and some rooms are located more far from the sea;
- and thirdly, our room had a terrace with a table and chairs and where you could dry things (the neighbor, for example, did not have such a balcony-terrace).
NUMBER DESCRIPTION
Our room #746 is located in V 8 (villa 8) on the ground floor with terrace. The room is big. The room has two and a half beds with hard mattresses and two pillows each, but one bedside table with a table lamp. Large built-in closet for things with chest of drawers and mirror (shoulders are sufficient). Safe, refrigerator, TV, torch lamp, large desk with drawers and stone countertop on which stands a desk lamp. There's a mirror over the table. There's also another full-length mirror in the room. Painting over the bed. Two padded chairs and a coffee table. Air conditioning system with control unit (worked well). There are tiles on the floor. The room has a panoramic window (floor-to-ceiling with very tight curtains that prevent sunlight) with a sliding door and access to the terrace where two metal chairs and a table are located.
Room without magnetic card, opens with a key, so the air conditioning works all the time.
The bathroom is spacious with a large stone countertop with a sink and a large mirror the length of the countertop, there is also a small magnifying mirror (for shaving and makeup), there is a hairdryer. Toilet, bathroom (closed by locking doors). Three dispensers (hand soap, shampoo and shower gel) are available from the soap maker. Two towels per person, big and small. The plumbing is old, but it's working, but the room needs renovation. There's no Wi-Fi in the room, only at the reception, and then very slow.
Cleaned the room and changed the towels every day. We would periodically tip (a dollar or a chocolate) and we would have our housekicker spin a different animal every time. The staff were very polite and friendly, working well.
What was also very surprising was the amount of drinking water we were getting every day - two 1.5 liter bottles for two. Sometimes we didn't even have time to drink all the water, because you could quench your thirst not only in the main restaurant, where we ate 3 meals a day, but also in the beach bar, where you could drink both water and various b/a and alcoholic beverages. Nowhere else (I mean other countries) have been so generous with drinking water. Well done! Overall, we were pleased with the number.
HOTEL GROUNDS
The property is large, slightly elongated from the receptions to the sea, cozy, with green areas and flowers, very beautifully decorated, with swimming pools and water slides, restaurants, bridges, in general there is a place to walk. The buildings are arranged so that it takes a few minutes to reach the main areas (restaurant, swimming pool, beach). There is a gym, spa (sauna, steam bath, massage, Jacuzzi), beach volleyball, billiards, Wi-Fi in the lobby (very slow), conference room, diving center, table tennis, darts, 2 tennis courts, laundry, shops, ATM.
FOOD
We were very satisfied with the food: delicious and varied. Waiters serve fast.
The following nutritional concepts are available:
All Incluisive (AI) is an all-inclusive meal, three buffet meals in the hotel's main restaurant, local alcoholic and soft drinks, and snacks throughout the day.
The main restaurant, 3 a la carte restaurants (Italian, Oriental, seafood), 4 bars, 2 cafes are available on site.
BEACH
Usually when we find a hotel, we're basically beach-oriented - for us, it's important that we like the beach first, so here in this hotel, the beach suited us by all accounts. First of all, we were driving for snorkelling and this hotel is located in a beautiful location and has its own very beautiful coral reef (we swam for hours like a fishbowl and were just thrilled), and in this hotel the snorkelling pier is short, which is very convenient because you do not have to walk long to the coral reef. And secondly, there is a spacious sandy beach in three tiers, set up wherever you want. We liked to sunbathe on the third, upper, tier, where the sea breeze blows and few vacationers (no noise, loud music, there are always available deck chairs, and there are magnificent views). The beach has everything: beach towels (issued by card every day), toilets, showers, changing rooms with mirrors, bars with various drinks and snacks - all thought out, comfortable and compact. We really enjoyed it.
The sea is unbelievable: warm and transparent as a tear, with an unusually beautiful underwater world.
ANIMATION
The animation here is very well performed: both on the beach and in the pool. There's poolside entertainment in the evening - various concert performances. In addition, this hotel is located very close to the famous pedestrian street Soho Square, where tourists go to entertain. There are many shops, restaurants, a cinema, a singing fountain and even an ice rink!
EXCURSIONS
We have undertaken several excursions:
1. "Cairo by bus (1 day)". It turned out to be a little tainted. The fact is that the tour did not include a visit to the Cairo National Museum. We took the tour from our tour operator Sunmar (combined with Coral Travel). We did not expect such a catch, but it did not allow us to dampen our mood and to truly enjoy the many other attractions, especially the visit to the complex of pyramids and the Great Sphinx, for which we actually took this tour!
2. Elite VIP II yacht elite cruise to the White Island (Egyptian Maldives) with yacht lunch and snorkelling. The tour really enjoyed it.
3. "Evening Sharm el-Sheikh" with a visit to the old town, Soho Square, fish restaurant and more. It was interesting and informative.
TOTAL
Egypt has captivated us with the beauty of the underwater world and comfortable weather, interesting excursions, and our chosen hotel has fulfilled all our expectations and turned out to be an even better place than we imagined. This hotel is recommended!

If only the reef matters
This year we decided to spend five days in one hotel and five days in this hotel (because we were there already 1.5 years ago). We arrived at the hotel ourselves at lunch,2 adults and 2 teenage children, room given immediately, asked closer to the sea and we were given a two-bedroom room with sea view. They thanked me. The room was functioning properly, the bathroom only had no curtain and accordingly all the water was always on the floor, that's a big downside. You could say the hotel was empty - 30% occupied. The sea's great, the reef's beautiful, there's a lot of fish, and not little ones, which is why they came back here. Other than that, the hotel was very poor. The beach beds are in terrible condition (although the pile stands aside apparently new, but they are not given). Stairs to the sea are already in need of replacement. Bar on the beach without comment....not particularly friendly bartenders who purposely pour you a beer with foam in the half of a glass...as if they were pouring their own)))We took our glasses, poured without problem, but so did. Beer and other alcohol are terrible, it seems watered down. On the beach from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., fast food is edible. Restaurant ... veggies are vegetated, coffee machine is half working ... it's clear you won't stay hungry, but looking back at that arrival, it's clear that the food has changed for the worse. The animators try, they have no complaints. Tours were taken independently, booked online, significantly cheaper than in the hotel . Near Soho Square, you can walk there in the evening. There's a pharmacy, shops, but the prices are much more expensive. We used to go to Naama Bay and shop there at Fix Prece for a penny (compared to Soho, toothpaste costs $2 and there's $0.5). The conclusion is it's a good thing we only spent five days here, not 10. There is no further desire to return to this hotel.

Spring break
The location is perfect. It is close to the SOHA square. There is sand on the beach. The lorry is short. There is a nice coral reef. Overall the atmosphere is amazing. Full rest. Just a perfect relaxing time.
It’s true that the some installations require renovation. What is also true that being surrounded by pleasant and attentive staff I don’t pay attention anymore to the state of the installations.
Another point to say is that some of the Entertainment team staff is especially friendly. I have some pleasant chats about history and culture of Egypt.
In the restaurant I always feel to be a special guest. I believe everyone has the same feelings.

It's great!
Spent 10 days in this hotel as a family. The animation for the kids is great, the area is green and well maintained. I highly recommend taking a tour of Ahmed. He's an incredibly erudite man, and his stories on the tour were listened to with his mouth open by adults and children alike. The tour organization was perfect and the cost - very affordable.all tours here Sphinx -tour.com Plus, Ahmed helped us buy perfume in his shop, for which he has a special thanks! Now these scents remind us of vacation.
