Beautiful heritage house with incredible character and a vast array of traditional decoration.
The pool and gardens are lovely and well maintained.
The family room we stayed in was very large for 4 with 3 beds and a lounge.
Staff have been over the top and this hotel was the best we had in weeks.
3 main caveats for families: 1/ Family room gives on street side, the street is at a cross road leading to steepy road to main street so motorbikes making a turn accelerate to go up and woke us up multiple times.
2/ Family room is accessible via a stairs, while stylish, half of these do not have a ramp and can be slippery for elders
3/ Restaurant does not allow room tapping, we had to pay every time, kind of misleading when reception asks for a caution.

Perfect Taal location

A wonderful stay at Paradores del Castillo in the heart of historic Taal. The beautifully preserved heritage building perfectly captures the charm and elegance of old Taal while still providing modern comfort. Its location is very convenient — just a short walk to many of the town’s historic landmarks, ancestral houses, and the famous basilica.
What truly made the experience memorable was the amazing service from the staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, making guests feel welcome from check-in to departure. Chloe was very helpful in checking us in from communicating by social media and in person . One of guys even picked us some santol from a big tree by the pool. A perfect place to relax, appreciate Filipino history, and enjoy the timeless atmosphere of Taal Heritage Town. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay.
Five stars all the way !

Wonderful Summer

Their Taal location is very good. Easy walking distance to the Basilica and public market as well as to restaurants like cuchara Y tenedor and Don Juan Boodle House. The hotel is right across the street to Casa Villavicencio, The Wedding House and Casa Recuerdos. The property was instagram pretty and their in house restaurant was really good. Home cooked meals done well and not at all chefy. While staying there, it felt like living in someone’s house rather than a hotel chain. The staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. An added bonus was the hotel’s affiliation with Casa Villavicencio, casa Recuerdos and the wedding house as well as the restaurants mentioned earlier. In fact, we made reservations through the hotel during our stay. It was a bit unfortunate that the hotel pool was looking not swim ready on the first evening because the pool maintenance person was not on duty that morning. We took the family room at the top of the stairs, which were rooms 1 and 2, that had a shared parlor. They have ten rooms, with rooms 8 to 10 being on the ground floor. Our bedroom was done Spanish colonial way wot four posters and a guazy mosquito net artfully hung. Soft bed and linens guaranteed good deep sleep. We all have fond memories of this place and for that matter the town of Taal. Highly recommend them. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

Pleasant stay in Taal

The place is pleasant, quaint and has lovely well preserved heritage structures. Staff was accomodating and well mannered. Food in their restaurants are at par with Manila standards. Although our friends ,who stayed in the annex bldg, did not get to sleep because of noise from basketball court which had very late till early morning games.
